OVER 70 boys and girls are taking part in the Ballymacelligott GAA The Cúl Camp will run up until Friday.
“It’s been a great week despite the weather,” said camp co-ordinator Denis Reen.
“The numbers are great again this year in Ballymac, it’s a big camp, so the Kerry County Board are happy with the numbers,” he said.
At the start of the week, kids are kitted out with official GAA Cúl Camp gear, which makes them look the part as they hone the skills of Gaelic football and have some fun too also.
“95% of the kids in the camp are from the Ballymac area, this we’ve got a guy from Germany over here on holidays, he’s really enjoying it and he’s actually very good in fairness to him! So GAA is being spread to other European countries which is nice to see.”
“As I said, the weather could have been better, but the coaches have been excellent and we’ve had a great week,” said Denis.
