THE full programme of events for Féile Thrá Lí has been released and there’s truly something for all musical tastes and for all the family.
There’s a host of music tribute acts booked to play throughout the five days from Friday, August 18 to Tuesday, August 22 on Denny Street and The Square stages.
They include acts playing the music of Queen, Abba, Johnny Cash and Ed Sheeran while there’s also local favourites like Aftershock, Queenless Kings, The Righteous Dudes and Renovator to entertain the masses.

.The Abba Reunion Tribute Show will play the Sunday night of the Féile Trá Lí – Tralee Streetfest.
THE countdown is on for Féile Thrá Lí which takes place later this month and two music acts have been announced to play the Denny Street stage as part of the programme of events.
The Abba Reunion Tribute Show is understood to be part of a ‘Super Sunday’ line-up of entertainment on August 20 while George Murphy and The Rising Sons will play on the closing night of the Festival on Tuesday, August 22.
Many more acts have been booked to play during Féile Thrá Lí — which coincides with the Rose of Tralee Festival — and they will be announced along with the full festival programme next week.

Featuring parades, live music, street theatre, markets, fireworks and an extensive programme of family fun, the Féile will incorporate all the traditional elements of festivals in previous years.

PLANS for a new five-day festival of family fun and street entertainment in Tralee next month are at an advanced stage.
The name and branding for the new ‘Féile Thrá Lí’ were unveiled today by the Mayor of Tralee and the Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council along with representatives from Tralee Vintners, Tralee Chamber Alliance and Fáilte Ireland.
Féile Thrá Lí, the Tralee StreetFest will take place between August 18-22 to coincide with the Rose of Tralee International Festival. Full details of the programme will be announced over the coming weeks and will be published on the new website www.festivaltralee.com

Led by Kerry County Council in collaboration with Tralee Vintners and supported by Tralee Chamber Alliance, Fáilte Ireland and the wider business community in the town, this festival will showcase the unique spirit and charm of Tralee and County Kerry.
“It’s really exciting to have the name and the new logo for the Tralee StreetFest unveiled today,” said Cllr Johnnie Wall, Mayor of Tralee.
“Tremendous work is being done to put a very exciting programme together and I look forward to seeing the details over the next few weeks. There will be something for all ages and I encourage everyone to come along and join in the fun.”
Chief Executive of Kerry County Council, Moira Murrell thanked the local business community and all stakeholders for their work in supporting Kerry County Council in recent weeks to develop a new street festival and programme of events.
“Kerry County Council is very proud to be involved in facilitating a family-oriented festival of events in Tralee in August. Féile Trá Lí will be an exciting and action-packed street festival which will build on Tralee’s and Kerry’s reputation for high-quality and entertaining festivals and events,” she said.
Johnny McElligott, Tralee Vintners said: “We are delighted with the support from Kerry County Council with regards to the delivery of a fantastic family offering this year and for the support in getting together a committee with ourselves to enable us to provide a full programme of events including five nights of live entertainment in the town centre.”
