Tralee Businesses Nominated For Irish Hospitality Awards

A NUMBER of Tralee and Kerry businesses have been nominated for the 2018 Irish Hospitality Awards.

Over the last few months a campaign has been running where the public have been able to nominate their favourite establishment under a number of different categories.

Well the full shortlist has been announced and a number of Tralee businesses are in the running for awards.

Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre has been nominated in two categories in both the Best Day Out and Best Entertaining Team category.

Kirby’s Brogue Inn and Baily’s Corner are nominated the Best Pub/Inn Of the Year Category (South-West), Woodlands Caravan Park is shortlisted in the Best Caravan Site category, Denton B&B and Sean Óg’s are in the Bed & Breakfast of the Year category and  Spa Seafood’s Restaurant is up for Restaurant of the Year (South-West).

Elsewhere in Kerry, Parknasilla Resort and Spa is up for Resort Hotel of the Year and Hotel of the Year, Killarney National Park is in the Tourist Attraction of the Year, Listowel Writers’ Week in the Best Irish Festival category, Stonechat Restaurant and Milano’s in Killarney in the Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year category, Kate Kearneys Cottage and Denjoes Family Restaurant in Killarney and Jumbo’s Family Restaurant, Listowel are up for Best Family Dining Restaurant, Doyle’s Seafood Bar (Dingle) and Mac’s Restaurant (Killarney) for  Restaurant of the Year (South-West),

The Irish Hospitality Awards aims to recognise and reward those within the hospitality industry that work hard to give their customers the best experience. The award ceremony will be held on Monday, February 12, at the Crowne Plaza, Dublin Airport.

Spa Seafoods Wins At Irish Hospitality Awards

A SPA restaurant was a winner at the inaugural Irish Hospitality Awards 2017 held on Sunday night in Dublin.

Spa Seafoods was a winner in the Best Restaurant in Southwest category at the awards at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin Airport.

A number of other Tralee businesses were nominated in various categories, including Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre, Bella Bia, Bailys Corner, Kirby’s Brogue Inn, Denton B&B, Rosemont B&B and Castlemorris House.

The awards celebrate everything in the hospitality industry-related by recognising and rewarding the best in the business.

Thousands of nominations were received from the Irish public over the past months

Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre was nominated for ‘Best Day Out’. Kirby’s Brogue Inn and Baily’s Corner were nominated in the Best Pub/Inn category, Bella Bia and Spa Seafoods were up for the Best Restaurant, Denton B&B, Rosemont B&B and Castlemorris House were in the Bed & Breakfast category.

There were other Kerry winners. Parknasilla Spa and Resort in Sneem was named Hotel of the Year 2017 at the awards ceremony. Kate Kearney’s Cottage was named Pub of the Year for the southwest region. Ashfield Bed and Breakfast of Kenmare won the Best B&B award for the southwest.
