NETWORK Ireland Kerry held its September event ‘Kerry Women of Inspiration’ at The Rose Hotel on Wednesday.
Guest speakers at the well-attended event were Eleanor Daly (Director & Associate General Counsel Global Corporate Meta), Mary Fitzgerald (General Manager University Hospital Kerry) and Denise Healy (Centre Director Castel International Education).

CANCER support charity, Recovery Haven Kerry, was a hive of activity on Friday morning as over 40 members of Network Ireland Kerry visited the Tralee premises for a special coffee morning and centre tour.
The event was a joint initiative between Network Ireland Kerry and their charity partner for 2024, and was also attended by a number of special guests, including Minister Norma Foley, Mayor of Tralee, Cllr Mikey Sheehy, along with local gardaí, Mary Gardiner and Aidan O’Mahony.
Welcoming guests to the event, Network Ireland Kerry President, Linda O’Mahony-Logan, spoke of her delighted at having chosen to collaborate with Recovery Haven Kerry during her term, describing the morning as ‘really special’.

“When we launched 14 months ago, every president gets to choose a charity partner, and for me choosing Recovery Haven was a no-brainer. It was so easy because at Network Ireland Kerry we’re all about support and creating a community of support for businesswomen -be they employers, employees or entrepreneurs. We are all about making connections and about having a safe place to go, and we know that those same values are very strong here at Recovery Haven too.”
She also paid tribute to the charity’s volunteers who give so much to Recovery Haven daily, and who were instrumental in creating such a beautiful setting for Friday’s event.
Recovery Haven’s Client Services Co-ordinator, Siobhan MacSweeney, also spoke about the importance of working with Network Ireland Kerry, and encouraged those in the room to help spread the word about what the charity is all about and let their friends, families and communities know the free cancer support services that are available.
Several guests enjoyed some time in the charity’s stunning garden before touring the newly refurbished building with staff and volunteers.
Friday’s event was one of a number of collaborations between Network Ireland Kerry and Recovery Haven in 2024, which will culminate in a Christmas Lunch in Killarney in December. Scroll down for photos…
NETWORK Ireland Kerry hosted their first anniversary in the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney as they welcomed members to enjoy an evening of celebration and networking.
President of Network Ireland Kerry, Linda O’Mahony Logan, acknowledged in her remarks how the ongoing support and participation of the members has enabled the group to become one of the most significant business network groups in Kerry in just one year.
The evening was hosted by committee member Róisín Smullen, MTU, who curated an excellent selection of speakers for the evening.

The event opened with a masterclass from Fiona Doyle, International Personal Stylist, on “The Impact of Self Image on your Well-being & Success”. Fiona is also President of Network Ireland Limerick.
James Finnegan of TedX, Tralee announced an exciting partnership with Network Ireland Kerry and TedX where he presented the opportunity and challenge to all present to put themselves forward as a TedX speaker.
James and his team will be providing a training programme to assist those who raise their hand for this incredible opportunity.
Emma Early Murphy National Ex Officio and Network Ireland President 2023, had a welcome return to Kerry, when she spoke at the event. It was during her tenure as National President that she formally launched Network Ireland Kerry in June 2023, when Kerry became the seventeenth branch of Network Ireland.
There was a fantastic representation from other branches on the evening that included, Sandra Maybury, President of Network Ireland West Cork, Network Ireland Waterford was represented by President Sinead O’ Neill and 2023 President Mailo Power. Limerick was also represented by Vice President Eve Stafford and Galway was represented by Suzanne Ryan 2023 President.
The evening was not only a great networking opportunity but also a wonderful social event, and those attending were treated to wonderful music by Lily Mac Monagle.
On August 30th Network Ireland Kerry will co-host a coffee morning with their chosen charity partner, Recovery Haven.
This will take place at Recovery Haven Kerry Cancer support House where members of Network Ireland Kerry will be welcomed into their centre to gain a greater understanding of the caring and therapeutic services provided to those who have experienced cancer, their families and carers. NETWORK Ireland Kerry hosted their inaugural Businesswomen of the Year Awards on Friday night in The Rose Hotel to great acclaim and a full house.
The evening showcased 30 finalists who amongst them competed in seven categories. Special guests on the evening included Minister Norma Foley, Trisha Lewis of “Trisha’s Transformation” and the national president of Network Ireland, Linda Codul.
President of Network Ireland Kerry, Linda O’Mahony Logan said; “this evening showcases the incredible talent, entrepreneurship, motivation, dedication to academia and commitment to raising the bar for themselves our finalists are demonstrating daily in their professional and personal lives.”

THE inaugural Network Ireland Kerry Businesswomen of the Year Awards was held at The Rose Hotel on Friday night with over 100 people in attendance.
Guests at the glamorous event enjoyed a drinks reception on arrival, followed by a sumptuous four course meal, DJ and dancing.

THE RDI Hub in Killorglin hosted a Network Ireland Kerry event last week to share their insights on how to submit a successful application for their upcoming awards.
Network Ireland Kerry hosted “How to write an award-winning application” for the Network Ireland Kerry Businesswomen of the Year Awards, 2024.
Joining on the evening was, Karen Ronan, MC, General Manager of the Shannon Region Conference and Sports Bureau. Karen was President of Network Limerick 2023 having served as VP and Awards Coordinator in 2022.

Also present was Joan Walsh, National Branch Liaison of Network Ireland Kerry, founder of Partnership International, an award-winning flexible and affordable work, study, and travel company for international students.
Joan is a previous winner of the Network Ireland Cork Businesswoman of the Year Awards in 2011 and 2018. Joan is the Vice President designate at national level and will assume her role as national president in 2026.
Network Ireland Kerry will be hosting their inaugural Businesswomen of the Year Awards on the 17th of May, in the Rose Hotel, Tralee.
Winners of the prestigious Regional Kerry Awards will go on to represent Kerry in the National Network Ireland Awards in the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Co. Kilkenny this September.

Valerie Murphy, Network Ireland Limerick who runs Valerie’s Breast Care, a service providing breast products to women who have had breast cancer surgery, Helen Wycherley who was the Network Ireland National President in 2019 and national winner of the Network Ireland Networker of the Year Award 2023 and Nell Stritch, Network Ireland Limerick, and founder of Pressed Flowers by Nell were also in attendance.
The session was jam packed with super nuggets of information and inspiring award journey stories from these past Regional and National Award Winners.

NETWORK Ireland Kerry held their February event in the Brehon Hotel, Killarney on February 14.
The evening’s theme was “Elevate 2024 – create & integrate your online communities for success”. Megan Daly-Tyrell opened the evening by welcoming everyone to an evening of actionable take-aways in terms of marketing recommendations they could implement in their own businesses.
The evening was co-hosted by committee members, Brigeen O’Sullivan and Eimear Mc Donnell of Match Marketing and Anita Michalak of Digital Talk.

The event M, Eimear McDonnell, introduced the special guest for the evening, Maeve Dennehy, owner and founder of the Love Cherish boutique and the Oh Molly fashion line.
Brigeen O’Sullivan of Match Marketing shared key steps that each attendee could use when planning a marketing or advertising campaign, to ensure they get optimum results.
This was supported by Anita Michalak of Digital Talk, who shared how attendees could optimise their social media footprint, from Facebook, to Instagram to their LinkedIn profiles.
A feature of each of the Network Ireland Kerry events is a minute on the microphone, whereby members have an opportunity to introduce themselves and the business they are representing.
Neil Grant, the newly appointed General Manager of the Brehon Hotel, Killarney was first on the microphone, sharing details of the new Heritage Collection of bedrooms that the hotel is launching. Next up, was Kerry Mc Carthy Brady, Hercules Building Systems who have a patented rapid-build, rapid-finish building system.
Closing the event Brigeen O’Sullivan and Emily Reen thanked everyone for their enthusiastic participation on the evening and noted that their membership is growing at an ongoing basis.
They spoke about their upcoming business awards which will be held in May and will be open to members to submit an entry under a number of categories.
These business awards are part of a national award program with Network Ireland, that support and profiles entrants each year.

THE first ever Network Ireland Kerry Christmas party was a stylish affair at The Rose Hotel on Thursday evening with over 50 guests in attendance.
The evening began with a drinks reception at 6.45pm by Valentia Island Vermont accompanied by live music from local singer / songwriter Tanya O’Sullivan.
This was followed by a four course menu carefully created by hotel’s Executive Head Chef Odran Lucey. Special guest speaker on the evening was Elvira Fernandez Zebo mother, model, businesswoman, entrepreneur and wife of Munster Rugby Star Simon Zebo.

The event was hosted in partnership with AIB and theme of the evening was ‘Practical Tips to Live & Work Sustainably in Kerry’.
The keynote speaker on the night was John McGeown, Head of SME Sustainability at AIB, where his role focuses on supporting businesses in the SME segment transition to a more sustainable footing.
