NETWORK Ireland Kerry hosted its October event on Wednesday in the Killarney Plaza Hotel, to a packed audience from Kerry’s business community.
The event was hosted in partnership with AIB and theme of the evening was ‘Practical Tips to Live & Work Sustainably in Kerry’.
The keynote speaker on the night was John McGeown, Head of SME Sustainability at AIB, where his role focuses on supporting businesses in the SME segment transition to a more sustainable footing.

Other panellists included Dr Helena McMahon, MTU, Co-Lead of Circular Bioeconomy Research Group; Louise Byrne, Sustainability Manager, The Killarney Park/Ross Hotel & The Killarney Coffee Cup Project; Emma Carmody, Creative Communities Engagement Officer in the Arts Office of Kerry County Council and founder of ‘Grounded Pottery’ and Karen Griffin owner of Scarlett Boutique, Killarney.
The MC on the evening was Denis Doolan, Strategic Head of Culture, Inclusion & Diversity at AIB. The next Network Ireland Kerry event will be hosted on Wednesday, November 8 in the RDI Hub, Killorglin from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in partnership with Kerry Local Enterprise Office.
