A FUN morning was had by all at the Phoenix Women’s Shed Welcome Back Hat Party last Thursday in their HQ in the Pipe Band Hall on Matt Talbot Road.
Ladies strutted their style and creativity on the ‘Hat Walk’ and there were prizes on offer, with the competition judged by Diane Jeffers and Margaret Hayes.
They had eight finalists and the winners on the day were…
1st prize – a special headpiece donated by Diane Jeffers went to Catherine O’Brien whose hat was worn by Maura Dutton.
2nd Prize – €50 voucher for Carraig Donn went to Miriam Owens
3rd prize – €35 voucher for Just Perfect went to Ellen Hurley
