ONE of the most popular events at the Rose of Tralee Festival is getting a make-over with a major emphasis on providing the ultimate girls’ night out experience at this year’s Fashion Show on Sunday, August 19.
Ireland’s super model, Alannah Beirne will star as the special guest on the catwalk while Erika Fox, top Fashion and Lifestyle Blogger/YouTuber, aka Retro Flame will choose the Best Dressed Lady.
A Glenbeigh-native, Erika is currently based in New York. Through blogging, she has worked with brands such as Tom Ford, Google, Land Rover USA, Vera Wang & Samsung.
She has also been featured in a wide range of national and international publications including Teen Vogue, Seventeen and The Sunday Times STYLE Magazine. Her current overall fan-base is now at almost 200,000 followers.

Erika will also co-judge the 2018 Rose of Tralee Designer of the Year Awards which will be sponsored this year by The Zipyard.
The production team behind this year’s Rose of Tralee Fashion Show will include Asta Lee and Cecile Lee Coveney and a team of top models from The Holman Lee Agency.

Caroline Wallace, Managing Director of The Zipyard Ireland, will co-judge the Designer of the Year Awards with Erika Fox and she will present the winning designer with €1,000.00 cash prize along with trophy.

Alannah Beirne, a finalist in Britain’s Next Top Model and a celebrity participant in RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars, is no stranger to the Festival as she is the daughter of the 1983 Rose of Tralee Brenda Hyland.
Kerry native Tina Griffin, last year’s winner of the Designer of the Year Award, will co-create four unique looks with award winning Milliner Carol Kennelly that will be exclusively modelled by Alannah.
The very talented designer Claire Garvey will showcase at the grand finale of this year’s Rose of Tralee Autumn Winter Fashion Show. Claire is best known for designing eye catching ensembles for Julian Benson judge on RTE Dancing with the Stars, her designs are very theatrical and creative and certainly will give a spectacular finale this year.
Make-up for the show will be applied by the skilled team at CH The Mall Tralee, Cathriona’s Hair Group, Castlegregory, Tralee and Dingle will style the models’ hair and Footprints Show Boutique, Listowel will supply the shoes on the night.
The Best Dressed Lady at the Fashion Show will receive €500 worth of jewellery from Tipperary Crystal, lead sponsor to the Rose of Tralee International Festival and a two-night Serenity Spa Escape at The Rose Hotel, official home to the Roses during the Festival.
