THE St Brendan’s Board held a belated Summer Barbeque on Friday evening at Tralee Rugby Club at Ballyard.
There was a fabulous turnout from across the Brendan’s District who enjoyed the food and fine weather before the highlight of the evening – a panel discussion involving; Radio Kerry’s Timmy Moynihan and former Kerry greats; Ger O’Keeffe & Eoin ‘Bomber’ Liston.
They entertained the large crowd on a variety of topical GAA matters. A special award was also presented to Fionan Mackessy (Ardfert) in recognition of his recent victory in the All-Ireland Poc Fada competition.
The Board are hugely appreciative of everyone who contributed to the night, Tralee RFC for the hospitality and the wonderful support received from all clubs and Gaels across the District.
It was a great social occasion and much of the talk was about the upcoming championship with the mouth-watering prospect of St Brendans against Na Gaeil in the opening game. Scroll down for photos…
