Sponsored: MTU Announces Summer Camp For Young Entrepreneurs

MTU in Kerry has announced details of its GoalMine entrepreneurial summer camps for young people aged between 8 and 12.

MTU’s GoalMine Summer Camp is a 5-day non-residential living-lab experience targeted at primary school children aged between 8-12 years old

GoalMine provides a one-week fun experience that will stimulate and ignite the innate problem solving, critical thinking, and innovative mindset of the participants through applied entrepreneurial and creative learning.

This will be done through fun games and activities both indoors and outdoors to foster that innovation mindset. Activities will be applied using the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 which apply to all countries – including Ireland, as children will be challenged with finding solutions to global issues

Lego play workshops will be delivered by Olympian and MTU Scholarship Student, Monika Dukarska, and treasure hunts, outdoor games, and other fun activities will be facilitated by MTU students who specialise in these areas, providing a unique experience for children who attend this camp.

GoalMine 2022 promises to be a week of fun activities with something for everyone.

GoalMine takes place at the MTU, North Campus in Tralee from 10.00am – 3.00pm daily. Week one runs from July 4th – July 8th and Week two runs July 11th – July 15th.

The fee is €50 per child, with additional siblings going free of charge. Registration fee is payable on first day of Camp in cash. Grants exist for families in receipt of a social welfare payment to cover the fee. For bookings see: https://goalmine2022.eventbrite.ie
