Tralee Community Garden Welcomes Volunteers In Park For Clean-Up

TRALEE Community Garden in Tralee Town Park opens again to public participation sessions on this Saturday to partake in the county clean up from 10.30am – 12.30pm in and around the garden and park surrounds. All tools and supplies are provided.

Open and inclusive participation sessions run from the middle of April to the last Saturday in September also providing opportunities for company CSR teams, Gaisce awards, schools, and a wide range of organizations.

Tralee Community Garden Project is a registered not for profit community and voluntary community integration initiative.

It has the only public community garden in Ireland, open 24/7, and available to any individual whether local, national, international, resident or transient under the direction of the Project Liaison Officer. There are no taxes or fees for participation and people get to share in the harvest.

Everyone’s welcome to get involved and you can register online with the Kerry Volunteer Centre in Maine Street Tralee for the project.

Please note children must be accompanied by their adult guardian in the garden. Remember to wear appropriate outdoor clothes and footwear.

Tralee Community Garden Looking For Volunteers This Saturday

TRALEE Community Garden Project, in Tralee Town Park, is open again for public participation sessions on Saturday, April 2, from 10.30am – 12.30pm.

Tralee Community Garden is a Public Community Integration Project through gardening and other topics with a wide range of sustainable practices promoting aspects of the World sustainability goals.

Its aim is to gently enthuse members of the public to become actively involved in any area of sustainability.

The project kicks off in conjunction with the KWD County Clean Up. Bags/ litter picks/ gloves will be available at the project on the day.

People are requested, due to the continuing prevalence of Covid, to present with their own masks to keep vulnerable people who wish to participate safe.

It is sensible to wear appropriate clothing for the Irish weather and sensible footwear. There are no taxes or fees and tools/supplies/sanitation stations are provided with participants getting to share in the harvest. Children must be accompanied by their guardian.

THE public participation sessions in the Tralee Community Garden Project will begin again this season on Saturday, April 13 in conjunction with the KWD County Clean up.

People will be welcomed at the Project located in Tralee Town Park from 10.30am. – 12.30pm, and will be able to pick up gloves, bags and litter pickers from the project for the event.

Tralee Community Garden Project which encompasses Tralee Community Orchard is the only Public Participation Integration Project through gardening and sustainable topics in the country and it’s always with an air of excitement that work begins again for the season.

The garden has 24/7 access where participants get to share in the harvest. Tralee Community Garden project is a not for profit community and voluntary initiative and seek to gently enthuse people about food production and sustainability for themselves and their own communities in practical ways.

There are no taxes or fees for participation and all tools and equipment are supplied just wear suitable clothing and footwear.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. If you would like to participate, just come along and introduce yourself to the Liaison Officer or alternatively you can also register for the project through the Volunteer Centre, Maine Street, Tralee.
