ANOTHER momentous weekend awaits players from Na Gaeil as they will head off to the Under 14 Féile na nÓg tournament in Cavan and Monaghan.
The team held a training session on Wednesday and afterwards they were presented with their Féile gear and the schedule for the weekend was previewed to players and parents.
The team will be playing in Division 2 of the competition and things are on the up and up for the club as the side has already won Division 2 of the County League this year.

They’ll have plenty of support too, as many of the players families will be travelling to the Ulster counties for the games.
They’ll leave Tralee early on Friday and are in action that evening in Bailieborough in their first game against South London, a team who won Division 3 of the competition last year, at 6.30pm.
Next up is a game against local club Bailieborough Shamrocks. After those two games, it’s off to Magheracloone in County Monaghan who are their host club for the weekend.
The players will meet up with their host families after the welcome ceremony in the clubhouse on Friday night.
On Saturday morning they play host club Magheracloone Mitchels in the final group game.
They are back in Bailieborough on Saturday afternoon for the quarter-final games. Hopefully results will go their way and they’ll be contesting a final in Clones on Sunday.
The competition comes hot on the heels of the hurling Féile competition last weekend where there were seven of the Na Gaeil players on the Tralee Parnells panel who qualified for the quarter finals of the Cup competition, losing out to the eventual winners. Let’s hope they go further this weekend.
