TRALEE taxi drivers met on Wednesday night and said they will move back into The Mall on November 21 when works are completed and will no longer use the new rank at Boots/Tesco from today (Friday).

The taxi drivers also agreed at the meeting on Wednesday that they will cease to use the taxi rank at Abbeycourt/Tesco from today (Friday).

Also (by day and night) taxis will not park or ply for hire at locations in the town centre at Denny Street and Castle Street. Taxis will only park and ply for hire at Bridge Lane (ie Shaw’s) and the Bus Station it was decided.

  1. Great to see that the taxi drivers decided not to park on the cycle lane at the top of Denny street.Looking forward to enjoying my coffee at the Roasthouse restaurant on Sunday morning without having to watch four taxis parked there like last Sunday. A law to themselves

  2. The taxis have edited enough of hardship at an unworkable rank, created by sheer arrogance by Kerry County Councils senior mismanagment
