Volunteers are wanted for the An Taisce Spring Clean.

THE Public Participation Sessions in the Tralee Community Garden Project begin again this season, on March 26, with the An Taisce Spring Clean and volunteers welcome at the project location in the Tralee Town Park from 10.30am onwards.

The project, which encompasses the Tralee Community Orchard, is the only public participation integration project through gardening and related topics in the country.

Tralee Community Garden has public open access 24/7 and all participants get to share in the harvest. The project is not for profit and volunteers can participate for as long as they wish to do so, be it five minutes or five hours.

All are welcome to come along and there are no fees for participation, but those looking to volunteer are requested to wear appropriate footwear. All tools, equipment and supplies will be provided. If children wish to come along, they must be accompanied by a guardian.

If you would like to participate any time just come along and introduce yourself to the Liaison Officer or alternatively you can register for the project by sending your details to Kerry Volunteer Centre, 7 Maine Street, Tralee, Co. Kerry. You can also send an email to traleecommunitygarden@gmail.com
