Tralee Credit Union Looks For Entrants In Art Competition

BUDDING local artists are invited to submit entries for this year’s Credit Union National Art Competition, especially after the success of Tralee entrants in February.

Siobhan Donnelly, Marketing and Development, Tralee Credit Union said “ We are extremely proud to have two national winners in 2016, Enable Ireland Tralee and Elisha Buckley, so the expectations are high!”

The theme for this year’s competition is “Dreams are made of this..” which is sure to allow the imagination run wild.

Now in its 33rd year, the competition attracts up to 30,000 entries through 300 credit unions nationwide and caters for all ages, with categories ranging from under 7 to adults. There is also a Special Category for those with physical or intellectual disabilities.

Last year Enable Ireland Adult Services Tralee were 1st Prize Winners in the Group Category of the Irish League of Credit Unions Art Competition. The closing date is October 28. Entry form and competition rules are available by clicking here. Once completed, please drop your artwork to the Credit Union offices in Tralee, Castleisland or Killorglin.

Winner, runners-up and merit awards winners at local level go on to represent the credit union at regional level and if successful, at national level. Local winners will receive their prizes at a local prize giving ceremony.
