A TRALEE entry was awarded second prize in their category in the inaugural .IE Digital Town Awards 2021 held this afternoon.
The Tralee Chamber entry — the Digital Tralee app and website project — was shortlisted alongside Drogheda and two Sligo projects in the Large Town (10,000+) category, with Tralee getting the runner-up prize of €5,000. Drogheda won the top prize of €9,000.
There was better news for the Dingle Peninsula entry as they won the Small Town category prize of €9,000 while Listowel was the runner-up in the Medium Town category with a €5,000 prize.

There were 14 awards in a number of categories with a total prize fund of €100,000 in 2021. The awards are the first pillar of activity under .IE Digital Town which has been developed to address digital enhancement and adoption in Ireland.
The awards promote awareness, knowledge, use and understanding of digital in Ireland by its citizens, businesses and communities.
They also highlight the benefits and possibilities of digital and celebrate the digital achievements of local towns, big and small.
