Tralee Harriers Weekly update
Competition News
The Munster Schools Track Field championships were held last on Saturday 20th May, in Cork’s CIT track
The day was filled with outstanding performances from all Kerry schools. Mercy Mounthawk won the Overall Senior Girls School, as well as the Junior Boys schools.
Several of the clubs athletes were involved over many events;
Rachel Bowler was the only club gold medallist, taking the Senior Triple Jump title, while Jordan Kissane was a double medal winner with bronze in the Junior Long and High Jumps.
The Mercy Mounthawk Senior Girls Relay team were the stars of the day for the club, they took home gold while breaking a 29yr old record. The Inter Boys relay narrowly missed out on a spot at National.
Congratulations to all who took part with many of them competing out of age.
Nationals will be held on Saturday 3rd June in Tullamore and the club wishes everyone competing, the very best of luck and look forward to seeing some great results. Pics will be available on the Tralee Harriers AC Facebook page when sent through to PRO.
