Our ladies Div 1 team travelled to Duagh today to take on St Josephs in an absolute cracker. From the very beginning the intensity was there to be felt. Tralee Imperial ladies gave an outstanding display of both offence and defence and never gave up to the dying minute. Whilst every player gave it their all, some outstanding shooting from Aoife Crowley and Eilis O Connor has to be mentioned. Deirdre Kearney gave her usual display of grit and determination. The lost to an excellent team only by 11 points and from start to end this was a most enjoyable game. The team are, Sarah Cooper, Aoife Crowley, Eilis O Connor, Deirdre Kearney, Claire Brennan, Danielle Pierse, Jenny Fitzgerald and Caitriona Collins. Well done girls, and a huge thank you to coach Tomas O Hanlon.

Templeogue 83 Tralee Imperials 34
Our U20 men made the journey to Dublin last weekend to play in the last 16 of the Hula Hoops U20 Men National Cup. The scoring on the day did not reflect the effort made by our boys in blue but unfortunately it was not their day.
Senior Men Div 1 County League
Tralee Imperials 75 St. Mary’s 67
If you think Sunday afternoons are quiet and relaxing then you haven’t been in Mounthawk. Following on from the nail biting game v Gneeveguilla two weeks ago where Imperials grasped the 3 point win (65-62) it was another thrilling game against St. Mary’s. It was the Castleisland side that started better, leading by 10 points at the end of the first quarter (13-23) and at half time they had extended their lead to 13 (30-43). Tralee Imperials came out fighting in the third quarter outscoring St. Mary’s 26-16 including scores from J. O’Connor, D. Devine, R. Dinan, K. Crowe, C. Sayers, S. Dowling and two big three point shots from Seán Herrick. Despite trailing 56-59 going in to the final quarter the momentum was with the home side. Defensively they were very strong, working hard under the boards, deflecting and stealing the loose pass. Robbie Dinan went to the line in the dying minutes to tie the game with his two free throws. Tralee Imperials pushed on to finish the game with an 8 point victory (75-67). Top scorers: Keelan Crowe (16pts), Cian Sayers (13pts), Seán Herrick (12pts)

On Sunday afternoon our u12 Team 1 travelled to Glenbeigh for our 3rd game of the season. After starting our season with two wins we were hoping to keep our good run going. Our starting 5 of Fionnán, Darragh,Johnny,Tadgh & Conor played great defense but due to some bad luck with our shooting we trailed 6-2 at the end of the first quarter. Our 2nd quarter team of William,Sam,Sean Og,Brian and Will continued our intensity on defense and limited Glenbeigh to just 2 points in the quarter while we scored 12 points ourselves giving us a 14-8 lead at half time. Nadal came in for the 3rd quarter and added some extra steel to the team when we managed to stay 6 points ahead at the end of this period. We rotated players around in the last 2 quarters and every player played their part in a game which finished 22-18 in our favour.
The boys are improving with every game and their hard work on defense is what is most satisfying. Our next game is in a Kenmare on November 12th.
