THERE were 28 new COVID-19 cases in the Tralee Local Electoral Area reported in the 14 day period up to Tuesday, April 13, according to data provided by the HSE and Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC).
It’s the electoral area with the largest amount of cases and the most per head of population in the county at 84.8 per 100,000.
Killarney LEA has seen 14 new cases in the same period, or 47.3 per 100,000 of the population. Castleisland LEA has seen eight cases, or 46.7 per 100,000 of the population.

Meanwhile Kenmare, Corca Dhuibhne and Listowel Local Electoral Areas have seen less than five cases each in the 14 day period.
All electoral areas are well below the national incidence rate of 131.7 per 100,000 of population.
