Learning to drive is a painful rite of passage for almost everyone as they’re growing up and as a result, we’re all well able to share a horror story or two about the first few times we took a car out.

So if you’re currently awaiting your test date in Tralee, this should give you some measure of hope.

The bad news, however, is that pass rates in Ireland have fallen from 57 per cent in 2008 to 52 per cent last year, so it looks like the test is getting stricter…or people are getting worse at driving!

2010

• Tralee: 61.35% (7th Best)

2011

• Tralee: 59.26% (19th Best)

2012
