Easter Camp Hurling and Camogie:
Tralee Parnells will hold and Easter Camp for 7 to 14 year olds. This is during the Easter Holidays.Tue 11th to Thu 13th April, 10 am to 1 pm each day at Caherslee, only EUR25 per player, open to members and non members.
We are delighted to announce that Clare hurler Cian Dillon has been added to the Coaching line-up for our Easter Camp, Cian played full back on the 2016 National League winning Clare team and was an All-Ireland winner in 2013.
Fifth and Sixth Class Blitz:
Thanks to South Kerry GDA David O Dea for organising a fifth and sixth class blitz in the IT Thursday the 6th of April. Six schools took part including CBS primary school, Spa National School, Caherleaheen, Scoil Eoin Balloonagh, Moyderwell Mercy Primary School and Blennerville National School. Presentation on Concussion in Sports:
Tralee Parnells as part of our ongoing participation in the Healthy Clubs program, were delighted to organise a presentation in Tralee on Wednesday 5th April at Na Gaeil GAA Club.
The Postgraduate researcher who give this interesting and Informative presentation, gave participants up-to-date information on how to appropriately identify, respond to and address concussion injuries in athletes. It also covered the short and long-term health consequences of concussion, coaches role in concussion assessment, return-to-play guidelines and how coaches can communicate to their athletes about concussion.
