Tralee People Who Died In World War 1 To Be Remembered At Ceremony This Sunday

THE annual wreath-laying ceremony to remember Kerry people who  died during World War 1 will take place at 12noon on this Sunday, November 10 at the Royal Munster Fusiliers monument at Ballymullen.

The Remembrance Sunday gathering at Ballymullen, organised by Tralee MD Councillor Sam Locke, has been taking place since 2015.

The Mayor of Tralee, Cllr Mikey Sheehy will be attendance along with members of the clergy during the short ceremony.

The late Liam Nolan, Chairman of the Royal Munster Fusiliers Association, who passed away earlier this year will be remembered at the event.

Mr Nolan helped gather the information on people from Tralee who were killed while serving with the regiment and whose names are featured at the memorial.
