A TRALEE woman was one of the winners at the annual U Magazine ’30 Under 30′ awards last night
She has a background in journalism and new media and had been blogging on other sites since 2011, before starting her website.
BeforeMamDies.com is a celebration of life and travel with her mom, Noreen Kavanagh, a former teacher at Listellick NS, who adopted Úna-Minh when she was three days old in Vietnam.
Úna-Minh has spoken out against racism in the past and earlier this year, she unveiled #WeAreIrish, an illustration of how diverse Ireland really is featuring many Irish men and women who do not look stereotypically Irish.
The second annual U Magazine ’30 Under 30′ awards in association with Boots honoured Ireland’s brightest young female talent, celebrating 30 women in fields as diverse as STEM, Politics, Fashion and TV.
The night saw 200 people gather in Dublin venue, No 22, for the event hosted by Tracy Clifford and Aisling O’Toole.
I dunno what just happened but I’m ecstatic to have won!! 😄😄😄 Thank you so much @u_magazine #30under30 pic.twitter.com/nCfMNF8WKW
