TWO ladies will enjoy Christmas all the more this year as they scooped over €20,000 between them in the Rehab Radio Kerry Bingo.
Patricia Dee of Ballylongford and Peggy O’Connor of Castlegregory each won €10,080 and were both presented with their cheques on Wednesday afternoon in Radio Kerry where they were joined by Norman Foley of Foley’s Spar, Killorglin and Kieran O’Shea of O’Sheas in Blennerville where the ladies bought their winning books.
Andrew Morrissey and Elaine Kinsella who co-present Kerry’s Full Breakfast, the programme on which the Bingo numbers are called each morning, also attended as did Padraig Blake of Radio Kerry who is the agent for distributing the books.
Both ladies have been playing Rehab Radio Bingo on Radio Kerry for many years and have both been winners of small amounts in the past. This is each of their first big wins and they hope not the last!
Patricia said the money is already spoken for as she plans to buy a new car and have a really great Christmas!
Peggy on the other hand has no immediate plans for her jackpot money but said that some of it is bound to come in handy to treat her daughter and grandchildren who are returning to Kerry from New York for Christmas.
Rehab Radio Bingo books are available in over 100 shops across Kerry at a cost of just €4. There is a daily cash prize of €350 and a weekly jackpot draw every Tuesday with a maximum of €20,000 to be won.
The ten numbers are called out on air five times a day, Monday to Friday at 8.10am, 11.10am, 2.40pm, 4.50pm and 6.30pm with claim lines one from 3pm each day until 7am the following morning. The numbers are also available on line www.radiokerry.ie/events-notices/bingo
