Unemployment In Tralee Rises For Third Consecutive Month

THE amount of people in Tralee seeking unemployment benefit has risen for the third consecutive month.

The figure of 5,187 on the live register was an increase of just one person on the previous month.

Though Tralee saw another rise in people seeking unemployment benefit, the figure is down 457 on this time last year.

Around the county all offices reported a drop in unemployed except Tralee.

The area with the greatest fall in unemployed was Killarney, going down by 108 (2,208)

Kerry now has a total of 12,515 people unemployed which is a 10% drop on last year (13,851).
