STAR WARS fans are getting excited at the news that the official trailer for ‘Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens’ will be out on Friday.
However, a fake teaser trailer appeared yesterday on YouTube and has garnered over 130,000 views, featuring Skellig Michael in it…for about a second!
Regardless of its authenticity, it shows the level of interest in the movie and the potential it can have for tourism in the county.
Scenes from the movie were filmed at the famous south Kerry tourist attraction and UNESCO World Heritage Site back in late July/early August, with great security measures put in place around the time to preserve the secrecy around filming.
Friday will give the official first glimpse of some of the scenes from the movie which will be released in cinemas over a year from now, on December 18, 2015.
I think that’s what they call a slow build-up!
