THE Gods smiled upon the crowd taking part in the annual Good Friday walk in aid of Kerry Hospice.
Over 100 people took part in the walk from the Brandon Hotel at 10am this morning. The rain stayed away as families made their way around the route in what has become a great tradition over the years.
It was just one of many walks taking place around the county in aid of the new Palliative Centre at Kerry General Hospital, where the sod is expected to be turned in June or July at a cost of around €5.5m.
The Kerry Hospice won’t be taking in terms of fundraising, as they have to come up with €400,000 a year for the first five years for staffing.
