WATCH: Gavin O’Brien Hits Great Goal In Trench Cup Final Win For CIT

TRALEE man Gavin O’Brien played a pivotal role in CIT’s Trench Cup win last night at the DCU Sportsgrounds.

The Kerins O’Rahillys and Kerry star kicked 1-4 in his side’s 2-20 to 0-12 win over Mary Immaculate in the decider which will ensure CIT plays top tier colleges football next season.

Other players from Kerry involved in the win were Adam McAuliffe of An Ghaeltacht, Chris O’Donoghue, Glenflesk, Kieran Murphy, Kilcummin and James Crean, Annascaul.

The game was the opener for the Fitzgibbon Cup Final where another Kerry man, Shane Conway was the star of the show in UCC’s win over IT Carlow. The Lixnaw man scored 0-9 and was dubbed the ‘Messi of hurling’ by his coach Tom Kingston.
