WE have all gone through an awkward phase.
My personal one consisted of wearing a faded mickey mouse t-shirt, high waisted button up shorts, black faded tights and a purple cardigan.
I would insert a picture but I don’t think anyone needs to relive that nightmare. It may not sound that bad but when you combine it all and put it on an awkward 13 year old’s body, it isn’t the best.
I used to think that this awkward phase was a a rite of passage of sorts, but with the amount of social media around these days, I think it might be safer to give it a skip.
In the New Year, Upfront Model Management are running workshops for both younger teens (10-13) and for the well-established teenagers (13 and upwards). this course will run both on the 4th and the 5th of January next year.
It will feature talks from some amazing people in the industry who will give all sorts of tips to those who attend. Aishling O’Connell, top model and former IMG face, will be there to share some of her secrets on perfecting the runway walk and poise.
Top makeup artists in the industry, Anthony O’Sullivan MUA (4th of January) and Emma Houlihan (Tuesday 5th of January) will be there to give all there tips and tricks on the day.
Finally, I will be there to discuss all things YouTube and Blog related. I know that YouTube has become such a worldwide phenomenon, and I want to share my experience of this platform and give tips to those who may want to start up and run a successful YouTube channel themselves.
For the younger audience, who may not be quite ready to start up their own channels, I will be answering all their questions on the world of YouTube. A platform that has become so huge in the last number of years that it is like the new Disney Channel for this generation.
I am delighted to be apart of this course, and I hope that people will get as much enjoyment out of it for the work that we are all going to put into it. There is a lot happening on these days, so check out the website for more details.
These courses have proved very popular in the past so it would be advisable to book your tickets now. I’m not biased or anything but I think that it would make a pretty great Christmas present for any teenager this year.
The courses will be run in Manor West Hotel and you can book your tickets by clicking here
See you there.
