Senior Men – The Junior team won a hard-fought battle in the quarter final of the Barrett Cup beating Glenbeigh/Glencar on a scoreline of 1 – 7 to 0 – 8.
Mitchels started the stronger with early points from Cian O’Brien and Darragh Cunnane (F).Glenbeigh stuck back with points of their own but a long range effort from Brian Costello, Conor Hurley, Cian and 2 points from Darragh (45, F) extended the lead to 0 – 7 to 0 – 2 at the half time break.
Mitchels played against the elements in the 2nd half and found scores hard to come by. Mitchels defended superably through the efforts of Rob Kerins, Aaron McLarnon, Graham Higgins and the very impressive Sam Fitzgerald in particular keeping the Glenbeigh scoring chances at a minimum.
Our midfield had a big impact on the game . Special mention for Conor Hurley who struck for the vital score of the game to leave Mitchels 1 – 7 to 0 – 5 to the good. Glenbeigh to their credit scored 3 unanswered points leading to a nervous last few minutes but Mitchels held out for a narrow 2 point victory.
Special mention most go to veteran goalkeeper Dermot Raggett who looked composed under the high ball and was able to get all kick outs away to a Mitchels man throughout the game.
We now look forward to the Barrett Cup Semi Final next weekend with more details to follow across our social media channels later in the week.

Under 16 Girls – Our U16 ladies County league journey came to an end at the semi final stage against Dingle on Wednesday evening. Under 14 & 15 Boys – Well done to our u14 boys who won the prestigious Dinny O’Connor Lee Strand Invitational Tournament today in Connolly Park on Saturday. We started with a win against a tough Churchill this morning which was followed by another victory over Oranmore of Galway. This ensured we met a very strong Salthill Knocknacarra in the semi final.
It was another tough match for our boys but we prevailed to win by three in the end. The final against near neighbours and tournament hosts Austin Stacks was sure to be some game and it didn’t disappoint! This game had everything, long range scores tough tackling and accurate kicking football, which in fairness, is a testament to both teams as they really gave an exhibition.
Buoyed by a first half goal from Eddie we played some great football and at one stage went six points up. As expected this Stacks never gave up and got back into the game with some brilliant interceptions and turnovers of their own resulting in scores.
The last few minutes were tense but we pulled away working the ball nicely up the field (after some excellent defence) to our scoring forwards who kicked some great scores to ensure victory for Mitchels. Special mention to Captain Calvin O Sullivan who won Player of the Tournament and to Eamon Kissane who won Man of the match for the final. Well done boys.
Huge thanks to Austin Stacks for a brilliant game and of course hosting the event which went very smoothly from start to finish. Finally a huge congrats to our mentors who at short notice got the boys together for this tournament and to the parents who attended on the day. It was great to honour the team at the Club on Sunday where there was a massive turnout to wish the team and mentors our congratulations.

Senior Ladies – Bons Secours County Championship Round 1.
Killarney Legion 0-16 John Mitchels 2-08.
For the third time in the last month these 2 sides met, this time in the opening Round of the Bons Secours County Championship, on this occasion in Killarney Legion and it was the home side that came out on top of yet another epic encounter by 2 points.
The home side opened the brighter and were 2 points in front by the fifth minute thanks to scores from Lauren Carey and a free from Kate MC Carthy. John Mitchels with Sarah Kilgallen and Simi Ogungsbesan getting on top in midfield reduced the leeway with a point from a free from Niamh Myers following a foul on Grace Hamilton.
Then a wonderful free flowing move involving Anna Murphy Stack, Diana O’ Keeffe, Ashleigh Murphy and Shannon Martin ended with Aoife O’Brien playing in Ava Buckley O’Connell for John Mitchels opening goal in the tenth minute to put the visitors 2 points in front.
From the kick out, Tara Fitzgerald released Erica O’ Connor who found her sister Lynda with a deft pass and Lynda played in Rachel Kilgallen who was fouled in the square and from the resultant penalty, Niamh Myers gave Killarney Legion goalkeeper, Amy Walshe no chance as she blasted the ball to the net to increase John Mitchels lead to 5 points.
This score seemed to spark the home team into life and 3 pointed frees from Kate Mc Carthy and a point from play from Orianne Mc Gillycuddy had reduced the lead to a single point approaching the half time whistle and on the stroke of half time another Kate Mc Carthy free had the sides level at half time, 0-07 to 2-01.
After the half time interval, John Mitchels seemed to reorganise themselves and 2 pointed frees from Niamh Myers and a point from play from Ava Buckley O’Connell pushed them 3 points up by the fifth minute.
Orianne Mc Gillycuddy responded with a point from play for Killarney Legion to cut the deficit to 2 points but then John Mitchels took complete control and 3 points from frees from Niamh Myers increased the visitors lead to 5 midway through the second half.
Killarney Legion then introduced Ciara Randles, Lauren Horgan and Aisling Cahill and this seemed to turn the tide that was beginning to flow against them.
Firstly Orianne Mc Gillycuddy scored her third point of the night, then Ciara Randles scored 2 pointed frees and this was followed by points from Lauren Carey and a free from Kate Mc Carthy had the sides level with 8 minutes remaining.
Ciara added 2 points one from a free and one from play to push Killarney Legion 2 points in front before John Mitchels goalkeeper, Kayleigh Collins produced a wonderful save to keep the visitors hopes alive.
John Mitchels introduced Clara Dowd but it was the home side that increased the lead to 3 through a pointed free from Kate Mc Carthy.
John Mitchels poured forward in an effort to score the equalising goal but some solid defence and heroic goalkeeping denied them and, in the end, they could only conjure up a late pointed free from Niamh Myers before the referee blew the full-time whistle to leave the final score Killarney Legion 0-16 John Mitchels 2-08.
Following the side’s 3 meetings there is only an aggregate of 2 points between the teams which over 3 hours of football is practically nothing.
Again we had in excess of 20 players in attendance for the fixture, we are welcoming back a number of players to the squad and we are starting to build up a nice support base which is very encouraging for everyone involved.
While we may have lost our opening game in the group, we are determined to put that right in our remaining fixtures in an attempt to prolong our season. We play Kilcummin at home Monday at 7.15pm.
Minor Team – We play North Kerry in Moyvane in the quarter final of the County Championship on Monday evening at 7pm. Well done to the team and management on qualifying for this stage of the competition.

Senior Ladies – Corrib Oil Senior Club League Final
John Mitchels 2-06 Killarney Legion 1-12.
John Mitchels came agonisingly close to making it back-to-back Corrib Oil Senior club league titles when they failed narrowly to Killarney Legion in this year’s final played at Fitzgerald Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Killarney Legion won the toss and elected to play with the aid of the breeze in the opening half. They immediately won the throw up and midfielder Kerri Ann Hanrahan cut through the John Mitchels rearguard to open the scoring in the first minute.
From the kick out, Killarney Legion Captain, Kate Mc Carthy won possession and kicked a wonderful long range point to double their advantage. When Kerri Ann Hanrahan added her second point and Aine Devlin chipped in with two more the Killarney outfit had suddenly stretched into a five point lead by the tenth minute.
A wonderful passing movement involving Tanya O’Connor, Tara Fitzgerald and Erica O’Connor resulted in Aoife O’Brien finding Grace Hamilton with a deft pass and Grace slipped the ball to Ava Buckley O’Connell who blasted the ball to the Killarney Legion net to reduce the deficit to 2 points.
Anne Marie O’Sullivan and Lauren Carey added points for Killarney Legion before Diana O’Keeffe combined with Shannon Martin who found Shauna Hanafin with a clever handpass and Shauna scored a delightful point to reduce the gap to 3 points.
Lauren Carey added her second point in the twenty fifth minute and just on the stroke of half time a long range effort from Lauren Carey rebounded back off the upright back to the unmarked Orianne Mc Gillycuddy who blasted the ball to the John Mitchels net to leave the half time score John Mitchels 1-01 Killarney Legion 1-08 and left the John Mitchels ladies with a mountain to climb.
The mountain started to resemble Everest as points from the industrious Kerri Ann Hanrahan and Orianne Mc Gillycuddy pushed them 9 points in front by the fifth minute of the second half.
Things started to go from bad to worse when Killarney Legion were awarded a penalty but John Mitchels goalkeeper, Kayleigh Cllins pulled off one of her trademark saves and kept the Tralee outfit’s hopes alive.
Kayleigh’s save seemed to inspire the John Mitchels ladies and with the introduction of Anna Murphy Stack, Ashleigh Murphy and Michaela Murphy they seemed to get to grips with the opposition.
Niamh Myers then added a point from a free following a foul on Lynda O’Connor and when Ellie O’Rahilly was fouled from the resultant kick out, Niamh added another point from a free.
John Mitchels added some fresh legs in the shape of Clara Dowd, Emma Carmody and Laoise O’Sullivan and with Simi Ogungsbesan and Sarah Kilgallen taking control of the midfield sector, Niamh Myers scored yet another free to reduce the gap to 6 points midway through the second half.
Orianne Mc Gillycuddy increased the lead to 7 a minute later and then a wonderful John Mitchels move ended with Ava Buckley O’Connell firing a piledriver that struck the crossbar and went over the bar rather than under it.
Kate Mc Carthy and Niamh Myers then exchanged pointed frees and with three minutes remaining a very clever free kick movement involving Sarah Kilgallen and Shauna Hannafin resulted in Niamh Myers scoring a fantastic goal to reduce the leeway to a goal.
Try as they might, John Mitchels were unable to breach the Killarney Legion defence for the equaliser and at the call of play the final score was John Mitchels 2-06 Killarney Legion 1-12.
While the result didn’t go our way on Wednesday night, the club can take great pride in the squad’s achievement in reaching it’s second Senior club league final in a row.
The fact that again over 20 players were in attendance gives an indication of how far the squad has come in a very short space of time. The squad has now got a good blend of youth and experience.
We would like to thank our large band of loyal supporters who travelled to Fitzgearld Stadium and encouraged the players from first to last whistle.
As a complete aside, the game had originally been fixed for Monday night but Killarney Legion due to being missing some players on the Monday night requested us to play the fixture on the Wednesday night instead.
Naturally we agreed to their request and while we may have lost the game, it is fair to say that by doing so, we upheld the integrity of the club, the game and the competition and at the end of the day isn’t that worth more than any trophy. John Mitchels Abu!
Mothers & Others Notes – Training session at 7:30 pm on Wednesday. We aim to create a fun, non-competitive space for women to play Ladies Gaelic Football and build connections within the community. If you’re looking for a way to get fit, make new friends, and have a laugh, come along! No experience necessary. Contact Aisling on 087 2428358 for information.
Minor Team – Minor County Championship Round 2
John Mitchels 3-9
Dr Crokes 1-13
Our first ever minor County Championship game played in Ballyseedy as John Mitchels resulted in a great win for our Minors who were very determined and organised against a strong Crokes outfit.
The first half saw goals from Gearoid White (2) and Luke Sullivan with points by both to give us a 6 point advantage playing with a strong breeze. Crokes came out with huge energy in the second half and clawed there way back into the game closing it to 1 point before a Jim Dowd goal restored our 4 point lead.
Crokes won a lot of frees & kept plugging away but our defence held solid and the final whistle eventually sounded to the delight of a big home crowd. Well done to the team and management it was in every sense an historic evening!
Congratulations to Mitchels player Fionàn Brosnan & Coach Clive Callaghan on their 2 point victory in today’s U16 All Ireland Final against Meath. Well done Team & Management. Minor training continues on Monday evening at 7pm.

A special word of thanks to the U9 players that travelled last Thursday night and indeed for the last number of games. It is no easy task to step up in that grade and they have acquited themselves well. There is no fixture set down for this coming Thursday but we will arrange some friendlies over the next few weeks against some local teams.
We trained on Sunday morning and worked through a number of drills. Great enthusiasm from this group considering a lot of them would have stayed up late for the parade and fireworks. Training as usual at 10:30 next Sunday.
Under 13 Boys – Well done to our boys who represented the club at the Rose Cup on Saturday. We lost in the Shield Final to Milltown Castlemaine. The boys effort was immense and all there was in the end was one kick of the ball that separated both sides. We are extremely proud of the team.

Our thanks to Tralee Town Board for organising the event and to Na Gaeil for their hospitality on the day. In total the team played 5 competitive games and had a great day of football.

Senior Ladies – John Mitchels copper fastened their position in their division for 2025 and who knows, may even win their second promotion in a row with a hard fought 3 point win against table topping Killarney Legion in a thrilling encounter in damp conditions at home on Monday night.
Despite playing into the breeze in the opening half, the home side settled the better and following a foul on Lynda O’Connor, Niamh Myers kicked their opening score from a free from about 30 metres out.
Almost immediately Ellie O’Rahilly played a super pass to the inrushing Grace Hamilton and Grace increased the lead with a point on the run in the fifth minute. Killarney Legion responded with 2 long range efforts from their full forward to level matters by the tenth minute.
Ava Buckley then restored John Mitchels lead with a wonderful score from a very acute angle. Niamh Myers increased the lead in fifteenth minute with an incredible free from 40 metres into the stiff breeze.
Better was to follow when Grace Hamilton found Shauna Hannafin with a very astute pass and Shauna blasted a goal from the edge of the square to put John Mitchel 5 points in front.
Killarney Legion then responded with 4 points on the bounce, one from a free and three from play to leave the minimum between the sides approaching half-time. On the stroke of half-time Shauna Hannafin kicked a point from close range to leave the half time score
Killarney Legion began the second half in very determined fashion and immediately won the throw up and following some very intricate passing blasted a goal to take the lead and seize the initiative.
They added 2 further points to stretch into a 3 point lead but some incredible goalkeeping by John Mitches goalkeeper, Kayleigh Collins, who produced a string of fine saves including one where she dived full length to turn a goal bound effort out for a 45 seemed to inspire the home side.
With Tanya O’Connor, Tara Fitzgerald and Erica O’Connor in inspired form in the full back line, Captain Diana O’Keeffe ably assisted by Aoife O’Brien and Shannon Martin drove John Mitchels forward.
John Mitchels then introduced Anna Murphy Stack and Clara Dowd and with Sarah Kilgallen and Simi Ogungsbesan taking a stranglehold in midfield a great run by Sarah resulted in Niamh Myers reducing the leeway with a wonderful long range free.
Almost immediately Niamh added a further point from play and Shauna Hannafin then equalised with a great point from distance. Shauna then put the home side back in front before Killarney Legion responded with a point to leave the sides level with ten minutes remaining.
Both sided added pointed frees before Emma Carmody and Michaela Murphy added extra impetus to the home side resulting in a foul on Grace Hamilton that allowed Niamh Myers bisect the uprights from a free from a very difficult angle.
Simi Ogungsbesan won the resultant kick out and drove forward before she was fouled and Niamh Myers extended the lead from the resultant free from 30 metres range.
Sarah Kilgallen then won possession and found Diana O’Keeffe and with Diana bearing down on goal she was fouled and Niamh made it a perfect 7 from 7 from frees with her handiest kick of the evening following an exhibition of free taking in very difficult conditions.
Killarney Legion then tried a quick out in an attempt to find the equalising goal but time ran out to leave the final score John Mitchels 1-13 Killarney Legion 1-10 following a wonderful game of football with no quarter asked or given.
Final Score John Mitchels 4-15 Glenflesk 4-03.

Senior Ladies – John Mitchels got their Corrib Oil Senior Club League back on track with victory at home over Glenflesk on Monday night. Despite playing into a stiff breeze in the first half, Shauna Hannafin kicked the opening point for John Mitchels in the opening minute.
Two minutes later a wonderful free flowing move involving Caroline Harrington, Ellie O’ Rahilly and Simi Ogungsbesan ended with Grace Hamilton blasting the ball to the Glenflesk net from the 21 metre line.
Niamh Myers added 3 pointed frees and when she added a goal in the tenth minute, the large home crowd were in dreamland pushing the girls in Green and Gold an amazing 10 points clear. Glenflesk responded with a wonderful goal from Niamh Cantillon who was then denied by a wonderful save by John Mitchels goalkeeper, Kayleigh Collins, before Ava Buckley kicked a delightful point for John Mitchels following good approach play by Aoife O’Brien and Shannon Martin in the fifteenth minute.
Niamh Myers added her fourth and her first from play two minutes later and then Diana O’Keeffe burst forward from the back to kick an amazing point off he left foot. Glenflesk responded with their second goal from their midfielder Keelie O’Connor and added a quick point from Eabha Rudden to cut the deficit to just 6 points but John Mitchels added points from Shauna Hannafin and a beautiful long-range effort from Grace Hamilton to leave the half time score John Mitchels 2-09 Glenflesk 2-01.
John Mitchels began the second half in the same manner as they started the game and scored 3 points, one each from Ava Buckley, Sarah Kilgallen and Niamh Myers to open up an eleven point advantage.
Glenflesk responded with a goal from Abby Cronin and points from Caitlyn Kelly and Niamh Cantillon to reduce the gap to six points by the tenth minute.
Any thoughts they harboured for a comeback, however, were dashed by some resolute defending by Tanya O’Connor who put in an exhibition of blocking, Tara Fitzgerald who excelled in her new role at full back and Erica O’Connor. Ava Buckley added a further 2 points from play and when John Mitchels introduced, Anna Murphy, Linda O’Connor, Abigail O’Shea, Eabha Mullins and Nicole Hennig for her Senior debut, the changes led to further points by Ava Buckley and Shauna Hannafin and a fantastic goal from Niamh Myers.
While Glenflesk never gave up and responded with a goal from Abby Cronin, it was the home side that had the final say when Ava Buckley scored a wonderful goal from a fine passing movement.
Final Score John Mitchels 4-15 Glenflesk 4-03.
What was again very encouraging was that we fielded 20 players for the fixture and gave yet another of our underage players their Senior debut and also the large crowd that came out to support the team on the night.
The club is without doubt going from strength to strength and this is very encouraging for all involved. John Mitchels now face league leaders Killarney Legion next Monday night, July 29th at home and hopefully a big crowd will come out again to support the squad in this very important fixture which may consolidate their divisional status for 2024. We look forward to seeing you all.

Minor Team – Unlucky for our boys who played away to Ballymac on last Monday evening. Some good scores from both sides ensured an entertaining game for the crowd.
The initial exchanges were pretty even, and even though we went ahead after a brilliant goal, Ballymac’ finished the half with an 8 point lead. We never gave up with some great high fielding and tackles going in giving us good turnover ball and a platform to attack.
We brought it back to three points and did brilliantly to create some chances towards the end but were unlucky not to score. Hard luck to our mentors and all the boys who showed real spirit and determination this evening.
Congrats to Ballymac on the win this evening on a score line of Ballymac: 1-19 (22) to John Mitchels 2-13 (19). Well done to John Mitchels player Fionán Brosnan who was in action at the weekend v Mayo playing at half back. Kerry won 16 points to 10. Well done to the management and team.

Our lads can be very proud of their contribution to a very entertaining and keenly fought game. While the result didn’t go our way in the end, the disappointment of loosing was far outweighed but the joy of having Calvin O’Sullivan make his return to competitive footballwith John Mitchels!!
Calvin has been in all our thoughts as he fought his way back from a serious injury and everyone associated with the club got a great boost seeing him come on in the second half of Wednesday nights game (For the record he kicked 1-3. No small feat in his first game back!!).

Minor Team –The first round of the Keanes Supervalu Club Championship took place on Monday July 8th at 7.30pm where we played Laune Rangers away. Final score was Mitchels 2-20 and Laune Rangers 4-19 after extra time.
Well done to our team and management who fought to the bitter end but unfortunately it just wasn’t to be our night. Laune Rangers dominated parts of the game and the movement by their forwards was hard to handle at times but like a typical Mitchels team we never gave up.
We kept chipping away at the Rangers lead with quick ball to our forwards who kicked some brilliant scores. Our backs, putting in some hard tackles and turnovers, ensured the Rangers danger men were kept in check all through the game.
With time up and 4 points down we mustered an incredible come back kicking 1-1 in the very last minute to draw the game. In extra time we tried hard but Rangers kicked an early goal and then pulled away giving them the win on the night.
We wish the very best to the Laune Rangers player who had to be stretchered off this evening after injury. We play Ballymac away on Monday at 7.30pm in the semi-final of the Division 1 Shield. All support would be greatly appreciated.

It was a fantastic team performance from the 22 girls who lined out in the Green and Gold and the club and coaches Brian Denis and Billy are extremely proud of the effort and dedication that these amazing girls have shown since we returned to training in February.
We led the game from the first whistle and it was a fantastic defensive display from the Mitchels girls who went in 3 points up at half time after playing against a stiff breeze.
The second half was extremely tight and it was score for score until the final 10 minutes when we scored 1-02 without reply to win the game by an eight point margin.
Final score John Mitchels 4-07 Shannonside Tarbert 2-05
It was fantastic for the girls to be a part of a Super Sunday of U14 County league finals and well done to the Kerry LGFA for running such a fantastic day.

Well done to all and many thanks to Ardfert for hosting.
We trained as usual on Sunday. We started off with a short kicking drill before splitting the boys into three groups. We finished the session with two games. It’s fair to say the boys were tired given the warm conditions but their commitment cannot be questioned.
We play Milltown/Castlemaine in our final phase 2 game this Thursday away. Parents will be advised of details via WhatsApp.
We will train again on Sunday at 10:30. New members always welcome.
Under 13 Boys – After our U13 heroics from 2 weeks ago the Green team returned to action in the Town League against Division 1 county champions Na Gaeil in Kileen.
From the get go our intensity in the tackle and running off the shoulder was impressive and our opponents found it hard to match our efforts. A Mikey Sheehy like goal from Mikey Fitzpatrick over the head of the Na Gaeil keeper from a free, gave us a well deserved lead at half time .
We kicked on in the second half and but for some wayward shooting and some fantastic saves from the Na Gaeil keeper we would have been well ahead. In the end we ran out deserved winners on a score line of 2-13 to 0-12.
Huge credit to the boys who put on an exhibition of football,Na Gaeil had beaten them convincingly in their last fixture , so a huge turnover and fantastic progression from our boys . Training continues Wednesday and Friday night this week.

Under 13 Boys – It was a momentous week for both our U13 teams as they captured their respective county league titles. First up was our Green team who got the dream venue of Stacks Park for a local derby against Kerins O’Rahillys on Sunday evening . Deciding to play into a strong wind in the first half, we entered the break 3 points down against a very game opponent .
We took an early knock as Strand Road goaled early into the second half, however our fellas are made of strong stuff and rattled off the next 7 scores including 2 goals to take a 5 point lead going into injury time. Strand Road never gave up and drew it back to just 3 points by the final whistle.
In great scenes, the players, mentors and supporters poured onto the pitch at the final whistle to celebrate. The team entered the stand lead by captain Eddie Carmody for the presentation of the trophy, Eddie gave a fantastic speech and led the celebrations back on the field . A thank you to Strand Road for a fantastic game of football . Also a word of thanks to Coiste na Nog.
Part two of our fantastic week took place on Ballyrickard on Wednesday night, when our Gold team faced Ballymac in their County Final .
In front of a large crowd, Mitchels got out of the blocks early and by half time were 8 points up. However Ballymac showing great resilience with some great scores brought the lead back to just one, but just like the Green team on Sunday night our boys showed great courage and resolve and scored an all important goal with a few minutes to go and we ran out 5 point winners . Again some great scenes as we completed the double!
Captain Ruairí O Callaghan accepted the trophy from Cathy McCarthy and gave a very impressive speech for an 11 year old . Big thank you to Ballymac for a super game of football. Special mention to coaches Aaron, Eoinie K, Eoin, Brendan ,TJ and Daniel for a fantastic achievement on the double and for their huge commitment. Under 12 Girls – Training continues on Wednesday. Details to be issued by WhatsApp.
Under 13 Boys – There was a fantastic display of football on Saturday morning in Ballyseedy as our u13s Team Green made the County Final defeating a tough St. Michael Folimore outfit.
Slightly against the wind in the first half we worked some lovely scores, short kick passing and playing through the hands helped us go in at half time up by four; however our opponents never gave up and put some serious pressure on us to try and reduce the deficit.
Our goalie Tom Óg and his full back line had to be on their toes but they defended bravely, blocking and harassing their men consistently forcing some brilliant turnover ball to set us on the attack again.
Our forwards ran hard to receive the ball and linked up well with our runners from midfield and half back giving us the platform to shoot at every attack. SMF tried very hard and were unlucky with some shots but it was always going to be difficult with a breeze against them.
Well done to all the boys and mentors with a final scoreline of Mitchels 3-10 St Michaels Foilmore 0-7
Under 15 Boys – Training continues on Mondays and Wednesdays. Details to be issued by WhatsApp. We had a great workshop at the club on Thursday evening facilitated by Martin Stackpoole and Conor Bohane which was attended by our U15 & U17 boys teams.

Sympathies
The John Mitchels club were saddened to hear of the death of former Mitchels great, Sean Óg Sheehy.
We pass our deepest sympathies on to his children Oghie, Ronan, Mark, Clare, his brothers Niall and Brian and sister Kathleen, his extended family and friends. Sean Óg was a member of the famous Sheehy family and had a very distinguished football and hurling career winning many titles with both club and County.
Sean Óg was an integral part of the John Mitchels football team, winning 5 County Championship medals in a row from 1959 to 1963.
He won a sixth title in 1966. He also won a Cork County Championship medal with UCC in 1960. In 1962 he had the honour of captaining the Kerry team to victory against Roscommon in the All Ireland Football Final.
Sean Óg played at right half back in the final alongside his brothers Paudie (R.I.P) and Niall. He also captained Kerry team to victory in the 1963 home league final against Galway. He retired from the county team in 1963 at the tender age of 24.
Sean Óg continued to follow the exploits of the John Mitchels club throughout the years and was always on hand to offer advice to the club members and club officers. Rest in Peace Sean Óg, may the sod rest gently on your soul.
We also express our sincere sympathies to those who have recently experienced bereavement. We especially remember the families of Ann Thompson, Mary Tuohy, Maria Ianko and Theresa Barrett.
Senior Men – Our Division 2 team played away to Gneeveguilla on Sunday and despite a spirited and committed performance by the Mitchel’s team, the home team won on the tightest of margins of one point on a scoreline of 1 goal and 8 points to 1 goal and 7 points.

We are due to play our first game of phase 2 this Thursday. Parents will receive a WhatsApp message closer to the time. Until then keep practising.
Under 13 Boys – In tough conditions and a strong cross wind in Ballyduff Mitchels played against a very strong physical team.
Some smart football and a total team performance we went in at half time 1 G 4pts to 4 pts. Ballyduff came out strong at the start of the 2nd half but brilliant defending by all the backs led by Fionan O Callaghan stopped the powerful Ballyduff men.
Liam and Eddie supplied great ball to the forwards and birthday man Ryan Buckley got the vital 2nd goal to keep Mitchels ahead by 3 points going into injury time.
Tom Óg in goal made a fantastic save in injury time to keep out Ballyduff and after 5 mins of injury time the ref blew the final whistle. The supporters gave the team a standing ovation after producing one of the best performances of the year.
Well done to the players and mentors and we now await the draw for our semi final opponents. Well done all.

Senior Ladies – The curtain came down on this year’s Credit Union Donal Curtin Cup campaign for us last Friday night with a home defeat to table toppers Glenflesk.
The opposition were lightning fast from the blocks and were 4 points in front after the opening five minutes with points from Keelie O’Connor and Eabha Rudden and 2 from the impressive Aoise O Donoghue. Worse was to quickly follow as Glenflesk added goals from Alanna O.’Sullivan and Caitlyn Kelly and suddenly John Mitchels found themselves with a mountain to climb after only ten minutes.
Some rock solid defending from Anna Murphy, Diana O’Keeffe and Ava Sharma settled the home side and a sweeping move involving Tanya O’Connor, Shannon Martin and Laoise O’Sullivan ended with Grace Hamilton playing in Ava Buckley for the home sides opening point. Almost immediately Caroline Harrington played a delightful pass to Jamie Finnegan who was fouled and Niamh Myers reduced the deficit from the resultant free.
Linda O’Connor then fielded magnificently in the middle of the field, fed Sarah Kilgallen who found Aoife O’Brien with a sweet pass and Aoife found Niamh Myers who added another point, this time from play to reduce the gap still further.
Glenflesk responded almost immediately with points from Aoise O’Donoghue and Caitlyn Kelly and just on half time John Mitchels goalkeeper, Kayleigh Collins pulled off a point blank save from Eabha Rudden to leave the half time score John Mitchels 0-03 Glenflesk 2-06.
Glenflesk opened the second half just as in the first with a point from Clodagh Mc Carthy in the second minute but any thoughts they had of taking complete control were quickly extinguished by this very resilient John Mitchels outfit.
With Anna Murphy, Diana O Keeffe and Shannon Martin driving them forward and Aoife O’Brien and Sarah Kilgallen taking a stranglehold in midfield the home side reduced the gap with points from Anna Murphy and 2 from Niamh Myers, one from a free to leave 7 between them ten minutes into the second half.
Linda O’Connor then found Grace Hamilton who fed Ava Buckley who kicked a long range point and almost immediately a wonderful move involving Laoise O’Sullivan, Tara Fitzgerald and Jamie Finnegan saw Niamh Myers kick another point to leave just 5 between the teams with 5 minutes remaining.
In spite of laying siege to the Glenflesk goal the home team were unable to breach the visitors defence in search of the elusive goal that may have saved the game and virtually on the call of time Glenflesk added a point from Aoise O’ Donoghue to see them hold on for a 2 goal victory on the score of John Mitchels 0-08 Glenflesk 2-08.
All in all a very important Credit Union Donal Curtin Cup campaign for John Mitchels, where we fulfilled all our fixtures and were competitive in all of them in a very competitive group.
Lots of highlights to look back on, an opening round win over Southern Gaels, a rousing draw with local rivals Kerins O’ Rahilly’s and some very close encounters in our remaining fixtures.
The group has also increased numerically with a number of players returning to play and a number of the younger players starting to get their initial taste of Senior football which for the future of the club is of course vitally important because at the end of the day isn’t that all that really matters.
We continue training now in preparation for the league which begins in mid July and of course the championship and we are already looking forward to both competitions.
We would like to wish all our squad members facing into the exam season the very best of luck in them as they continue on their career paths and look forward to seeing them back in the Green and Gold very shortly. John Mitchels Abu!

Senior Ladies – A wonderful Credit Union Donal Curtin Cup Round 5 contest ended in a 2 point win for Fossa against a John Mitchels side that gave everything they could in an effort to extend their interest in this years competition in this game played in Fossa last Sunday.
John Mitchels settled the better and full forward Jamie Finnegan landed a monster point in the second minute to put them in front.
Further points followed from the visitors through Ciara Falvey- Byrne and Grace Hamilton to extend John Mitchels lead to three by the eight minute before the home team scored 4 points in the row to leave them a point in front by the 15th minute.
John Mitchels responded magnificently, however, and points from Rachel Kilgallen and Grace Hamilton had them back in front before the home team scored 3 more points in a row to edge back in front of what was proving to be a pulsating game.
Rachel Kilgallen again reduce the lead to the minimum with a wonderful point and just on half time the home side added their 8th score to leave them 0-08 to 0-06 in front at the interval.
Fossa began the second half on the offensive and added 2 quick points but the visitors responded in kind with points through a Rachel Kilgallen free and another Grace Hamilton score to leave just 2 points between the sides by the tenth minute.
A wonderful move involving Sarah Kilgallen, Shannon Martin, Aoife O Brien and Simi Ogungsbesan ended with Rachel Kilgallen blasting the ball to the Fossa net to put the visitors back in front by a point.
Fossa responded with 3 quick-fire points and threatened to take a stranglehold of the game but some heroic defence from Anna Murphy, Diana O Keeffe and Julie Foley and some excellent goalkeeping by Kayleigh Collins held them at bay.
A great move involving Shannon Martin, Diana O Keefe and Jamie Finnegan resulted in Ellie O Rahilly being fouled and Rachel Kilgallen scored the resultant free to leave the minimum between the sides with 8 minutes remaining.
Fossa were then awarded a penalty but John Mitchels goalkeeper produced an incredible save from Erica Mc Glynn’s well directed effort and then reacted instinctively to clear the danger.
Fossa added a further point to put them 2 in front but Captain Diana O Keeffe drove John Mitchels forward and in a frantic last play of the game, Rachel Kilgallen shot into the side netting with virtually the entire opposition team defending their goal.
While the defeat leaves John Mitchels chances of making the semi-final of the competition hanging in the balance, they can take a lot of positives from the campaign up to now where they have proven more than competitive in every fixture. Under 13 Boys – Our 13s began phase two of the county league this week with two games. Both Teams were looking to start this campaign on the front foot. Our Gold Team started off the weekend away to Legion GAA.
A very tightly contested game with Mitchels not being able to convert scoring opportunities after some amazing build up play. Legion however on the other end were clinical in their finishing and put on a great display of scoring.
As the game progressed Mitchels found rhythm and began to find their shooting boots and got a foothold in the game. Legion held a short lead throughout but with great character shown from the Mitchels boys they clawed it back and ran out 2 points winners with a late but fantastically taken goal.
A fantastic game of football and credit to Legion for a very sporting game and we wish them the best of luck going forward. Our u13 Green Team took to the field at home on Sunday against Lios Pol/Annascaul.
A game full of action at both ends with both teams converting some brilliant scores and displaying some excellent footballing skills. Our division 6 team did not play this weekend. Please see social media during the week to confirm times and dates of our next fixtures.
Senior Ladies – Our Senior ladies played Listowel Emmets on Friday night in Rd 5 of the Donal Curtin Cup. A number of forced changes in personnel saw a lot of positional changes from our Rd 4 game.
Emmets opened brightly and went 4 points up before a pointed free opened our account. Both teams worked hard and at the short whistle we were 0-5 to 1-6 down, We started well in Qtr 3 and brought the game back level and in fact 2 good saves from Emmets goalie denied us the lead.
A turnover to Emmets let them in for a goal and despite our trojan effort to the final whistle we were unable to narrow the gap. Well done to all and the players who gave 100 % to the final whistle. Our next game is Fossa away on 12th May followed by a back game with Glenflesk (Details TBC)

Senior Ladies – A rip roaring local derby justifiably ended all square between 2 teams who gave everything in front of a large attendance in this Credit Union Donal Curtin Cup Round 3 clash played in Kerins O Rahilly’s on Sunday last. Despite playing into a slight wind in the first half, the home side settled the better and points from Katie Nix and Orlaith Mc Kenna had them 2 in front in the opening five minutes.
Niamh Myers settled the visitors with 2 pointed frees to have the teams level after ten minutes but a sweeping move from Kerins O Rahillys ended with Katie Nix blasting the ball to the net and when Cliodhna Hayes added a point almost immediately the home side looked to be taking a stranglehold of the game.
A brace of points from Grace Hamilton and a point from play from Niamh Myers narrowed the gap to a single point after twenty minutes before the home side added a point from Katie Nix and then scored their second goal through Sophie Hassett to edge them 5 points to the good.
John Mitchels responded when Diana O Keeffe found Niamh Myers with a long delivery and the full forward finished with aplomb to the net from the 13-metre line. Myers added a point from a free and just on the half time whistle Ciara Falvey Byrne scored the equailser following good work from Shauna Hannafin to leave the half time score, Kerins O Rahillys 2-04 John Mitchels 1-07.
The home team with wind assistance began the second half just as they started the first and Sophie Hassett scored a lovely point from play on the fifth minute to edge them back in front.
John Mitchels responded and following good interplay between Ashleigh Murphy and Aoife O Brien, Sarah Kilgallen was fouled and from the resultant free, Rachel Kilgallen restored parity.
Sophie Hassett edged the home side back in front after 15 minutes before Jamie Finnegan combined with Simi Ogungbesan who fed Clara O Dowd and after Clara was fouled, Niamh Myers levelled matters from the resultant free.
With Kerins O Rahillys going on the offensive the John Mitchels defence and in particular goalkeeper, Kayleigh Collins, Erica O Connor, Anna Murphy, Emma Carmody, Tanya O Connor and Julie Foley really stood defiant to keep them at bay.
With five minutes remaining Niamh Myers found Ava Buckley with a deft pass and Buckley scored a wonderful goal from just inside the 13-metre line to put the visitors a goal to the good.
The home side responded with points from Cliodhna Hayes and a pointed free from Sophie Hassett to leave the minimum between the teams and just on the call of time Cliodhna Hayes landed an incredible long range free to ensure that honours were even following a fantastic game of football.

Under 16 Girls and Minors – John Mitchels Under 16s travelled to Ballyduff on Saturday evening in the North Kerry League Division 3 game.
Against a very strong, fit Ballyduff team, it was always going to be a difficult task, particularly as Mitchels were missing a number of key players. And with the wind behind them in the first half, Ballyduff started strongly, scoring 2 early goals to give them a definitive edge.
After the first quarter, coaches Brian, Denis and Martin made a number of tactical changes, which helped close down Ballyduff’s dangerous full forward. Mitchels were working hard around the middle of the field, with Nadya, Eva and Ellie working hard, but they were getting little room to operate up front where the Ballyduff defence was very tight.
The second half saw Mitchels benefit from the wind and helped the ball move in quickly. They also tightened up in defence, through Eabha, Nicole and Sadhbh and this severely limited the opportunities for Ballyduff.
Injuries during the game also saw Mitchels lose key players, and they kicked a number of wides from close range, before Nadya closed the scoring with a good point.
A tough challenge from a very strong Ballyduff team, but it was heartening to see the team compete right until the final whistle. Training for our Minor Girls and Under 16s continues on Monday and Thursday this week.

Well done to all players from both sets of teams for some very entertaining football. Management will be in contact with the players on training details for this week.
Congratulations to Eddie Carmody and Liam Corkery who represented Kerry in the Primary Schools Game at half-time in the Munster Championship semi-final in Killarney. Eddie scored 1-2 and Liam kicked 1-1. Well done boys from all at the club.
Under 15 Boys – On Monday night our U15 Gold team overcame a very decent Kemare side in a wet and windy Ballyseedy. Following on from that victory, our U15 Green team welcomed Glenbeigh Glencar/Cromane to Ballyseedy.
After a tight first half, the boys pulled away in the second half to earned a well deserved victory. This week both teams play Round 5 of the County League – the Green team play Firies on Thursday evening with a 6:15pm throw-in in Ballyseedy. The following evening, the Gold team travel to Milltown/Castlemaine for a 6pm throw-in.

Senior Ladies – John Mitchels suffered their first defeat in this years Donal Curtin Cup at home to Kilcummin on Friday night last.
The visitors were quick off the blocks and scored the opening 3 points before a free kick rebounded off the upright to their corner forward who reacted quickest to goal from close range and put them into a commanding 6 point leading after the opening ten minutes play.
A wonderful point from distance by Shauna Hannafin settled John Mitchels and then a sweeping move involving Emma Carmody, Ciara Falvey and Ellie O Rahilly ended with Linda O Connor blasting the ball to the net from the 13-metre line to leave just 2 points between the teams.
With Tanya O’Connor and Erica O Connor getting to grips with the Kilcummin attack, Shannon Martin then found Emily Obrusnik who combined with Julie Foley who passed to Jamie Finnegan and Jamie kicked a wonderful long-range point to leave the minimum between the teams after 20 minutes.
With Diana O’Keeffe and Sarah Kilgallen beginning to drive John Mitchels forward a long pass from Kayleigh Collins found Rachel Kilgallen and Rachel played a neat one two with Ava Buckley before passing to the inrushing Shauna Hannafin who gave the Kicummin goalkeeper no chance with a low shot to the net to put the home side in front.
Just before the interval Kilcummin added a point to leave the half time score 2-02 to 1-04 in favour of the home team.
Just as in the opening half, Kilcummin began the second half with 3 quick points, 2 from close in frees to edge back in front and in the tenth minute following some great defending by Tanya O Connor and Kayleigh Collins, Kilcummin managed to scramble home their second goal to go 5 points in front.
Ashleigh Murphy was then fouled and Ava Buckley reduced the lead to 4 from the resultant free before Kilcummin scored a somewhat fortuitous goal to put them into a very commanding position.
John Mitchels then introduced Ava Sharma and Claire O Connor and the fresh legs resulted in John Mitchels again going on the offensive ending with Shauna Hannafin kicking a long rang point before Rachel Kilgallen added a pointed free to cut the deficit to 5 points with 5 minutes remaining.
Kilcummin then added another point from a free and on the stroke of full time added their fourth goal to seal victory although the margin of 9 points was flattering for the visitors.
John Mitchels now look forward to the next round of the competition which is a home fixture against Glenflesk with time and date to follow. Training continues Thursdays and Sundays.
Minor Team – Well done to our Minors who were successful in their semi-final against Listowel Emmets last Monday evening. The Minors now play Keel/Listry in the Division 2 Shield Final on Monday evening at 6.30PM in Fossa. All support would be greatly appreciated.

Our Juvenile Academy continues every Sunday Morning from 10.15am here in John Mitchels Ballyseedy All Newcomers more than Welcome.
Under 8s and 10s Girls – Training continued Sunday morning on the Astro. A great session was had by the girls. Keep up the practice at home and see you next week.
Under 14 Girls – Our under 14 Ladies played their second challenge match on Tuesday, against MKL Gaels. It was a very competitive encounter, and it gave us the opportunity to look at players in different positions than they would usually play in. We kicked some fine scores and the girls played extremely well as a unit.
We want to wish Natalia Hennig a quick recovery back to football and look forward to seeing Natalia back in the John Mitchels jersey later on this summer.
Congratulations also to Amy Noonan and Grace O Regan who stared for the Kerry U14 A team in the Munster blitz. They now have a Munster Final against Waterford to look forward to. Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and new players are always welcome.
Under 12 Girls – Fantastic morning of football for the U12 girls, as we got our North Kerry League underway vs Austin Stacks.
We had a challenging first half against a strong breeze with some great football played to keep things competitive heading into half time.
We began to make a few changes leading up to half time making sure everyone got equal playing time throughout the game.
In the second half we put up a few more scores on the board with well worked scores bringing the ball out from the backs.
A positive outing for the girls for the first game of the season. Stacks won the game outright but we look forward to our game vs Churchill on Thursday evening where another exciting encounter awaits.
Under 11 Boys – We played Kilcummin on Thursday evening at home. It’s fair to say that the weather conditions were in keeping with the year to date.
It was a tough night for football with the wind and rain but despite getting soaked to the bone our boys performed very well against a strong Kilcummin team.
They battled for every ball, blocked down, tackled hard and showed great spirit and energy throughout. The effort being put in by these lads in atrocious conditions since the start of the season is to be commended and the coaches are encouraged by the improvement thus far.
Parents will receive details of the next match for this age group via Whatsapp. Training continue on Sunday. Until then kids are encouraged to practice their ball skills at home.
Under 13 Boys – Both our Green and Gold teams travelled to Keel to play Keel/Listry on Sunday evenings. Despite the challenging weather conditions some lovely football was played by all teams.
Our Gold team were successful on the evening on a scoreline of 1 8 to 1 4. It was victory for the hosts Keel/Listry for the second game on a score line of John Mitchels Green team 2 7 v 3 – 13. Thanks to all who travelled to support the team.
Thanks to our hosts for the evening and of course to our management and players for everyones effort on the evening.
Under 15 Boys – Last Monday our U15 Gold team played Keel/Listry in Rd 3 of the Div 9 County League. Both teams served up an exciting game with some brilliant passages of play. In the end, a last-second goal denied our team a victory, but they did come away with a draw on the night: Keel/Listry 3-11 – John Mitchels 4-5
Two nights later our Gold team travelled to Killarney to play the Legion in Rd 3 of the Div 1 County League. Our boys fought hard on the night, but due to a slow start were on the back foot al night.
Despite conceding early scores, the team fought hard in the second half to get within touching distance of their opponents. However, in the end we couldn’t quite get there, and thanks to some late scoring, the Legion ran out easy winners in the end. Killarney Legion 4-13 – John Mitchels 2-7
This week both teams play Rd 4 of the County League.
Monday 15th – Gold team play Kenmare in John Mitchels. Throw-in 5:45pm
Wednesday 17th – Green team play Glenbeigh/Glencar/Cromane in John Mitchels. Throw-in 7pm.
Under 16 Girls and Minor Girls – Training continues on Monday night at 6:45 pm in the S&C suite and on Thursday night at 7pm on the club astro. Our Minor ladies were due to play Dingle on Sunday evening at home, but on Sunday afternoon we were informed by Dingle that unfortunately they were not in a position to fulfil the fixture.
Training continues with this group in preparation for their first County league fixture and it’s great to have a fantastic group of ladies back in the Green and Gold at Minor level for John Mitchels. Numbers at training have been excellent and the commitment and effort at training has been a joy to see.

Senior Men – Our Division 2 team played Beaufort at home in the first round of the county league and our Division 6 team played Kenmare Shamrocks on the same day at home. Victory went to both visiting teams on the day.
We play Ballymacelligott in our Division 6 fixture next weekend on Friday evening in Ballyseedy under lights at 7.30pm. We are away to Kenmare in our Division 2 game on Sunday afternoon at 2.30pm.
All support at both games would be much appreciated. On behalf of all of us in the club we wish Mickey Kelleher a speedy recovery.
Senior Ladies – Well done to our Senior Ladies who were victorious over Southern Gaels B at home. In spite of the inclement weather conditions, Simi Ogungsbesan won the opening throw in and put the home side on the offensive and following some great teamwork by Shauna Hannafin and Ciara Falvey a deft pass from Sarah Kilgallen saw her sister Rachel blast the ball to the net for a wonderful start for the home side.
The South Kerry outfit responded with a well taken point from Brid Curran after 5 minutes. Straight from the kick out, however, by Kayleigh Collins, Oonagh Mc Grath found Tanya O’Connor who played a lovely pass to Shannon Martin who offloaded to Diana O’Keeffe who passed to Ava Buckley and Ava drove a brilliant shot from the 13-metre line to the net to extend their lead.
Southern Gaels replied with 2 pointed frees from Katie O’Connell to reduce the lead to 3 points but Shauna Hannafin slipped in Ava Buckley for a point in the 20th minute to increase the lead and 2 minutes later Ava added another point following good work by both Tanya and Claire O’Connor.
A point from Iona Wynton just before half time for the visitors left the half time score 2-02 to 0-4 in favour of John Mitchels.
Simi again won the throw in at the start of the second half and found her midfield partner Sarah Kilgallen who played a wonderful pass to Ava Sharma and Ava found Ellie O’Rahilly who calmy stroked the ball into the corner of the Southern Gaels net to increase the lead to 7 points.
From the kick out Eabha Mullen found Simi who played in Ava Buckley for a wonderful point. Sandra Dillon then replied with a well taken goal for the visitors but almost immediately Diana O’Keeffe won the kick out from Kayleigh Collins and played a long ball to Ava Buckley who beat the Southern Gaels defence and blasted to the net to restore the home teams 8-point lead.
Points from Simi and Rachel then increased the lead before Sarah O’Connor found the net for the visitors midway through the second half. Ciara Falvey then kicked a wonderful point from 35 metres range and although Southern Gaels added points from Iona Wynton and Sarah O’Connor, Ellie O Rahilly went on a mazy run before picking her spot in the corner of the net to put the issue beyond doubt.
Just before the end a great move involving Oonagh Mc Grath, Ava Sharma, Shannon Martin, Eabha Mullen and Claire O Connor saw Rachel Kilgallen complete the scoring with a point from long range to leave the final score 5-07 to 2-06.
The very sporting game was excellently handled by match referee Eddie Barrett. We play Kilcummin in Round 2 on April 14th and Round 3 at home to Glenfesk on April 21st.
Minor Team – Our minor boys team played Listry/Keel in challenging conditions on last Monday evening coming out victorious on the narrowest of margins with a one point win. Well done to all of the players for the valiant effort they put in.
We went on to play Laune Rangers on Sunday the 24th and despite an excellent display by our players, in really challenging weather conditions, a last minute goal by Laune Rangers in the sixth minute of extra time, saw John Mitchels defeated by one point on a final scoreline of 2 10 to 2 09.
Onwards and upwards and we will post further fixtures on social media. Training continues with details to be sent to parents group by WhatsApp.
Juvenile Academy – A fantastic turnout by our boys and girls at the U5s and U7s Sunday academy. Easter Bunny also visited on the day and we had loads of fun and games. All the boys and girls got an Easter Egg kindly sponsored by Robert Kelly, Kelly Elite Painting Services.

Numbers were good which made for two highly competitive games for our lads to show off their skills. Our next training session will be on Sunday April 7th at the usual time. There will no training next weekend as we are giving our coaches a well earned break. Enjoy the long weekend and we hope you enjoyed your Easter Eggs.

Under 12 Girls – The U12 girls GAA blitz at John Mitchels was a delightful affair as St. Pats, Kerins O’Rahillys, and the host team, John Mitchels, came together for an hour of spirited Gaelic football.
With everyone warming up together and participating in ice breaker games, the atmosphere was warm and inclusive. Laughter and cheers filled the air as the girls showcased their skills on the field, supported by enthusiastic spectators. Despite the competitive nature of the games, the focus remained on fair play and enjoyment.
Each team displayed moments of teamwork and determination, embodying the true spirit of the sport. As the final whistle blew, it was evident that the event had been a success, leaving players and supporters alike with fond memories of a fun-filled day of Gaelic football.
A heartfelt thank you to all involved in making the blitz a memorable occasion, reflecting the values of friendship, camaraderie, and community at the heart of the GAA.

Under 13 Boys – Our Green team had their second outing in the Town League on Friday night in winter like conditions with both teams running for cover from hailstones showers!
Our lads started slowly, but with our older boys showing great leadership and younger boys growing in confidence, Mitchels soon found their groove to record an impressive win in the end .
