ATHEIST Ireland will hold their second information table in Tralee, this Saturday from 12 midday in The Square.
The group will also hold an open meeting in the Abbey Inn at 2:30pm.
At the meeting, several issues will be discussed including, education and faith schools and Atheist Ireland’s schools Equality Pact.
There will also be an opportunity for questions on the challenges as Atheist Ireland sees them and the best solutions for them.
Michael Nugent Chair of Atheist Ireland will be speaking as will Jane Donnelly of “Teach don’t preach” and Peter Hinchliffe, local organiser for Atheist Ireland in Kerry.
Atheist Ireland sees this as an opportunity to come and find out more about the group. They have invited local politicians to attend to give an insight into the group and what they’re all about.
Since 2008, Atheist Ireland has been providing a platform for people who wish to work together to build a rational, ethical and secular society free from superstition and supernaturalism.
Athiest Ireland are looking to build on a small local group, to find people interested in joining the group or simply in getting in touch and maybe attending the monthly secular Sunday Brunch they hold in Tralee which is open to all people with an interest in secularism.
