THE annual Good Friday walks for Kerry Hospice provided a chance for people to get an active start to the day for a great cause.
There were two walks in the Tralee area — one taking off from the Grand Hotel and the other from The Tankard in Spa/Fenit.
The Tralee walk drew around 100 participants in the 22nd annual event where the late Ted Moynihan was remembered. The conditions were mainly dry and they warmed up with tea and scones afterwards in The Grand Hotel.
Meanwhile, over at The Tankard, around 50 participants set off on the Spa/Fenit Hospice Committee Jerry O’Sullivan Memorial Walk on a 10k scenic route. There will be refreshments afterwards at the bar/restaurant.
All funds raised from walks held all over the county will go towards the upkeep of the new 15-bed Palliative Care Unit. Scroll down for photos…
