‘SOLD OUT’ was being scribbled on the poster when we arrived at The Blasket on a wet and windy Thursday night.
No surprise really. The man on the poster was Shane Clifford from Tralee, but he didn’t sell out his stand-up show just because he’s a local.
Shane has been building up quite a following over the past few years and he was really looking forward to the hometown gig…well, sort of…

He dealt with the pressure admirably though and delivered a great show. He had a busy 24 hours as he was also a guest on the Rubberbandits podcast last night in Killarney.

It was the second gig of the year for The Blasket Comedy Club with Eleanor Tiernan completing the trilogy of stand-up shows on Thursday, February 21. In fact it’s been announced Shane will be opening for Eleanor that night so get your tickets! Scroll down for photos…
