KERRY Pride has launched an online fundraiser in order to raise the money necessary to organise an LGBTQ+ Pride parade in Tralee on Saturday, June 13.
“We are proud to celebrate the incredible LGBTQ+ groups, efforts and people here in our small nook of the country, but we need support from people in order to make Kerry Pride the best event it can be,” said Morgan Queeney, chairperson of Kerry Pride.

The fundraiser, through GoFundMe, can be found by clicking here and every donation, no matter how small, will allow the organisers to put on bigger and better events throughout the weekend of Friday, June 12th-Sunday, June 14th.
“The funds raised will be used to book acts, venues and, of course, run our very own Pride parade through the streets of Tralee. There are many initiatives we hope to run this year, to support and include the LGBTQ+ people we know and love in the Kingdom,” said Morgan.
Personally, I do not want myself or my children to be subjected to a LGBTQ+ Pride parade in Tralee or anywhere else for that matter.
Just like I would not want myself or children exposed to a group of naturists walking or cycling around in public in their birthday suits to advance or attempt to normalise their minority group agendas to us and/or promote it to our children.
We have a natural right to walk down our ancestral homeland and not have a minority marginalised group of peoples abnormal sexual preference promoted or forced celebration which contradicts our values.
I have a natural born basic instinct to support members of the LGBTQ community and not to see them prosecuted. However, this type of promote in our schools and in our public spaces makes me second think my liberal sympathies!
Is this type of pride promotion having a positive or negative consequence. I believe in freedom of speech and I am very openminded and honest, unlike most people.
So, if a philosophical, social, political, and economic ideology is forced upon myself or my children – I will resist and ensure my children (the real targets) are made aware and resilient.
Sadly I feel, the LGBTQ community may erode natural support like mine (now) in and others (in the future) due to the infiltrating attitude of the Government and the NGO organisations towards the promotion and possibly the recruitment of some of our children.
