WHILE the wind howled outside, there was a more serene, calm ambience in Balloonagh Church on Sunday during two performances from talented musicians and a well known local singer.
The Scotia Ensemble orchestra and singer Caitriona O’Sullivan presented ‘Sounds Of Cinema’, an afternoon and evening of music from popular film soundtracks.
The audiences were treated to music from Goldeneye, Skyfall, Batman, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Frozen, Moana and many more.

Anyone who didn’t brave the elements to venture out to the church had the option of streaming the event live and both concerts adhered to COVID guidelines.
The Scotia Ensemble orchestra is Kerry’s only professional orchestra and its members are professional musicians and teachers around around the county.
Singer-songwriter Caitríona O’Sullivan is well known from her stint as a judge on TG4’s hit country music show ‘Glór Tíre’ for 16 years. She is currently working on her second album of original material in a pop-country style. Scroll down for photos…
