PRESENTATION Tralee enjoyed a Love Literature Week to remember over the past week. The school’s festival of the arts was opened by former past pupil, Celine Slattery who captivated students with her life story and marvellous wit.
Award-winning young adult author, E.R Murray engaged in a stimulating workshop with second years while first years really enjoyed the poetry of Gabriel Fitzmaurice.
Another highlight was troubadour Larry Beau who entertained 5th years. Meanwhile, 4th years were blown away by Bernard Casey’s interesting theatre workshop. Award-winning poet Victoria Kennefick inspired second years with a brilliant poetry workshop.

A Junk Kouture Fashion Show was a big hit thanks to the Art Department where students were very impressed by the original designs of fourth years, including the outfit which has reached the National Junk Kouture Final.
The Dress Up Day on Friday was a tremendous success with students and staff alike in splendid festive gear. The teachers hosted a mock wedding with Bernard Casey featuring as an uncle.
The Drop Everything and Read Event proved very popular. All first years and fourth years loved their trip to the Tralee Omniplex to view a specially screened ‘Matilda, the Musical’.
