They are just over €72000 raised for KHF in memory of Tony O’Donoghue’s name let us try to help them hit €75,000 and go out on a high.

Blennerville/Ballyard Community Games

Well done to our 5 athletes who represented Blennerville/ Ballyard in very stiff competition in Beaufort today. First up in Under 12s Grace Costello ran a strong race in a very competitive age group and finished well.

Amy Noonan once again showed her running speed & stamina to win the Under 14 girls 700m race. fantastic running Amy! We had 3 boys in under 14 700m, again it was a fiercely competitive race, Stephen Enright ran an excellent race to come 5th closely followed by Tommy Costello & Hugh Costello in 8th and 9th positions. Amy and Stephen will go on to represent Kerry as part of the relay teams at U14 in Gormanstown on Sunday May 26th. Congratulations guys!

Very well done especially to Jake and Ailbhe today for showing great attention and listening and practice of all the games. Keep up the movement and ball play at home! Well, done boys and girls… Gooo St Pats!!

U7

An excellent session today with great numbers. We went through a few skills before playing 2 games. They seem to enjoy the football games. We might organise a game for next week against one of the local clubs if weather starts getting better.  Well, done to Tom who was player of the week this week- put in a big effort.

U8 Girls

We had a great session this morning all the girls showed great enthusiasm and an incredible appetite for hard work and learning the basic skills of our beautiful game they really impressed coaches Norma and Sean. U11 Boys

St Pats U-11’s had a quiet week with our game and training cancelled due to the terrible weather conditions. We have our 1st outing in the U 11 Co league Go Game v An Ghaeltacht away this Thursday 11/4 at 6.30pm so hopefully this will go ahead but, in the meantime, keep practicing the skills at home during the week. Naomh Pádraig Abú!!

U12 Girls

We had no training last Sunday due to the inclement weather. Our first game in the North Kerry U12 Go Games Programme is a home game vs Na Gaeil. It takes place this Thursday in Blennerville at 6:30pm. We ask for club members to come out and support the girls.

U13

St Pats 3-6 Castleisland Desmond 2 -4. A narrow win on paper does little to show how dominant we were throughout this game. Playing with a strong breeze in the first half we totally controlled the game. Our defence tackled ferociously, our midfield moved the ball with pace, and our forwards worked and moved into great scoring positions.

Only our shooting let us down a little and at half time we were only 4 points up 1-5 to 1-1. Any concerns about the final result were quickly settled in the first 10 mins of the 2nd half as we rattled the net twice. Desmonds threw everything at us after that and we’re rewarded with 1-3. Our lads remained composed until the final whistle, giving us a well-deserved win.

Training is on Monday at 6 for 45 mins and Wednesday also at 6 for 1 hour.

Senior

St Pats add another win in a blustery Caherslee against Firies B. Firies were quick to add two points within the first few minutes of the first half.

St Pats accumulated seven scores without answer from a strong Firies defence, scores coming from Fergal O’Brien, Jordan Conway, and Dylan Griffin. Firies trying to keep the gap which was growing to a minimum they scored a point; a Fergal O’Brien point keeping St Pats ahead.

One final score from Firies for the first half with Luke Mulligan putting one final point on the board for us to finish the first half St Pats 0-09 Firies B 0-04

The wind picked up during the beginning of the second half which caused both sides to have to change tactic and keep the ball low. Four scores in quick succession coming with a goal from Brian Murphy which allowed the gap to increase and allowing a safety net.

With other scores coming from Eoin Greaney and Fergal O’Brien, Colin Doody received a well-placed kick to shoot the ball passed the Firies goalkeeper before he knew it. Another point from Firies to reduce the ever-extending lead St Pats had achieved.

Jordan Conway was quick to add a point to keep St Pats momentum going, Firies put one last point on the board with St Pats adding two more points coming from Tommy Nicholson and Adam Hegarty. St Pats 2-14 Firies B 0-06

The club would like to thank Joe Wallace, Head Groundsman in Caherslee pitches for his assistance in hosting our senior team game there last Sunday.
