WITH around 500 people attending and fantastic entertainment, Causeway really was the place to be on Saturday night for the Kerry Hurlers’ Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser.
The event was held in a specially erected marquee at McHales Stretford End Bar, with the aim of raising cash to send the Kerry hurlers off to Orlando after the amazing year of success they’ve enjoyed.
Well it was some night and after an exhilarating opening performance, MC ‘Big Jim’ introduced the judges – Maurice Leahy, Toireasa Ferris, Murt Murphy and Lyndsey Kelly – followed by the pairs of contestants dancing individually to the delight of the crowd.
In the end Brendan O’Leary and Elaine Bunyan were delighted to named the public vote victors while Mikey Boyle and Elaine Ryall won the judges’ vote.
Enjoy the holiday lads!
