A BALLYVELLY woman was left reeling on Sunday night when she was told she won the St Pat’s GAA Lotto.
Charlotte Devane was in Dwyer’s Bar in Blennerville when someone came in from the lotto draw taking place in Skelper Quane’s next door, to tell her she had won.
“I thought ‘great €30’ until he told me I won the jackpot of €2,700. I nearly died!” said Charlotte at the presentation of the cheque on Thursday evening at the club.

Charlotte, from Cluain Ard, picked the numbers 5, 17, 19 25 on the basis of the number of people in her family and the ages of her three children, Sophie, Deana and Ben.
It’s the second time in two months that the club’s lotto has been won. James O’Connor from Lohercannon collected a cheque for €7,300 back in mid-August.
