AN Ashgrove resident received a lovely surprise last week when she was informed of an unexpected windfall.
Tracy Barrett, originally from Causeway but now domociled in the Ballyvelly estate, received a call from Chairman of St Pat’s GAA Club Terry Boyle to tell her she won the club lotto draw and was €6,500 richer.
Tracy, along with her husband Ricardo Gordillo and children Robyn and Rosa, were at the club grounds on Sunday morning to accept the winnings.
“I’ve only been doing the lotto for the past year,” said Tracy. “It was a lovely surprise as I had forgotten I was doing it. We’ve no plans for the winnings but I’m sure it’ll go towards a nice holiday,” she added.
