POPULAR trad band Spailpin are set to launch a retrospective of their work at the start of next month and they’re helping out a great cause in the process.
Mary Lynch is trying to raise €20,000 for 10 new chemotherapy chairs for the unit at University Hospital Kerry and the band have given her copies of her new CD, priced €10, with all funds raised from sales on the launch night on Friday, December 2 in The Ashe Hotel, going towards her campaign.

“They have a big line-up of bands for the night and all the takings for the night are going towards the campaign. It’s just €5 admission,” said Mary.
Acts playing on the night of the launch of ‘Then And Now 1980-2016’ include PJ Murrihy, Clann Nua, Danny Goggin and more surprise guests. For fans of trad and folk music it should be a great night.
