NOW it’s getting really interesting.
Griffith Swords Thunder came to the Tralee Sports Complex last night lying six points above Garvey’s Tralee Warriors in the Men’s Superleague table.
Well, they left town just three in front, as the home crowd spurred Warriors to a 68-61 victory with Trae Pemberton in top form with 25 points.

Warriors have been hugely impressive over the past number of weeks and who wouldn’t bet against them winning against league leaders Templeogue in another crunch encounter in Dublin next weekend.
A win would be a huge psychological boost ahead of the top four playoffs, which Warriors have already qualified for, at the start of April up in Donegal.
Warriors led from the start on Saturday night and were 17-8 up at one stage in the first quarter, but Thunder responded well and were just a point behind at the end of the first period.
Warriors were really up for this though and pulled away towards the end of the first half to eventually go in 39-29 at the break.
Warriors pulled away even more before the Thunder fight back and had pulled it back to a 45-40 game with four minutes left, showing why their one of the best teams in the league.

But Warriors are no slouches either and led by eight going into the final quarter, 54-46. With the atmosphere at fever pitch, the Warriors didn’t disappoint the home crowd.
Despite Thunder staging another fightback, Tralee finished 68-61 winners and confidence must be sky-high in the camp.
