THIS Friday will see an opportunity for people to fly down the runway participating in the inaugural Kerry Airport 5K Fun Run.
Taking place at 8.30pm under the lights of the runway, the 5 km run has been organised as a joint fundraiser between the Rugby Clubs of West Munster and Build4life, a cystic fibrosis (CF) charity based in Kerry.
The objective is to raise significant funds for this locally based charity which has been to the forefront in raising funds to develop life-saving isolation inpatient and outpatient facilities for adults and children with CF attending CUH, allowing them to enter the hospital environment free from the risk of cross infection.
