PEIL FAOI 14: Our reporter writes: “Our Under 14A and Under 14B teams are County League champions. ‘Well done’ to all the players who wore the black’n’amber on Wednesday 24th in Kilcummin v Laune Rangers.

What a fantastic achievement! Our B team had a hard-fought win. Colm Browne, John Duggan and Jack Murphy gave stellar performances in defence while Caden O’Mahony ‘did his job’ with expert efficiency in front of goal and scored 2-3. Full time score:- AdeS B: 2-14; Rangers B: 2-9.

Boosted by the performance of the B boys, the A team was quick into stride and scored 4-0 in the first 7 minutes. The unstoppable Jordan Kissane scored 0-3 and Cillian Litchfield scored a well taken goal. Centre forward Shane Bastible scored 0-4 from distance, giving us a halftime score of 5-7 to 2-8.

The Killorglin forwards saw more of the ball in the second half but brave defending by Joey Nagle (capt), Brian McElligott and Ruairí O’Connell snuffed out all threats. The hard-working Armin Heinrich was the linkman who skilfully transferred the leather from defenders to forwards and ensured that the great Rock supporters could breathe with ease in the final few minutes.

Full-time score:- AdeS A: 5-17; Laune Rangers A: 3-12. Our Under 14As: Ben Cuiltéir; Caoimhín de Barra, Ruairí Ó Conaill, Brian Mac Eileagóid; Josh Ó Loingsigh, Joey de Nógla (capt), Cian Ó Duilleáin; Armin Heinrich, Dean Rusk; Gearóid Kilgallen, Seán de Bastábla, Seán Ó Ficheallaigh; Eimhín Ó Foghlú, Jordan Ó Cíosáin, Conchúr Ó hÓráin; Donnacha Mac a’ tSaoir, Cillian Litchfield, Donncha Mac an tSionnaigh, Séamus Ó Cathail, Seán Ó Coileáin, Gavin Ó Slatara.

Under 14B score:- AdeS B: 2-14; Laune Rangers B: 2-9. Well done, all! A great effort! Comhghairdeachas also to Armin, Joe, Tom, Edward and all supporters. Foireann rathúil B: Liam Carmody; Conor Kirby, Jamie Horgan, Donncha Fox (capt); Colm de Brún, Jack Murray, John Duggan; Aeron Nolan, Seán Collins; Michael Lesniak, Cadan O’Mahony, Enda Cahill; Dylan Murray, Dara Moriarty, Jack Doyle; Conor Duggan, Declan Lacey, Noah Townsend, Tiarnan O’Carroll, Damien Hogan.”
