PEIL FAOI 15: (a) It was certainly a difficult week in the Central League for both our U15 teams. Killorglin’s Rangers were our opposition.

On Wednesday our A team had a really tough challenge when they travelled to Puck with an under strength team. They started well, though, and scored a goal in the opening minutes but unfortunately that was as good as it got!

Laune Rangers took control of the tie and, despite our boys’ heroic efforts and a never-say-die attitude, the lads of The Laune crossed the line as winners!

Foireann mhí-ámharach na Carraige: Conchúr O’Riagáin; Jamie Ó Cathasaigh, Brian Kavanagh, Maximilian Grzybowski; Eoin Mangan, Darragh Lyons, Jayden Moriarty; Tadhg Falvey, Rory Ó Loinsigh; Denis Brassil, Jake Carmody, Jack Ó Duigín; David Hobbert, Óran O’Donoghue, Jack Shanahan; Michael Cotter, Jay Sweeney, Harry Murphy, Ben Litchfield.

(b) On Sunday evening last we played Laune Rangers in the B game. A strong first half by the visitors saw them take a big lead into the break. An scór ag leatham….AdeS: 1-3; Laune Rangers: 2-8. Several changes were made at half-time after which our dogged and resolute stalwarts upped their efforts, fought for every ball and played quite well.

Unfortunately, The Rangers continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over and took the win on a final score of 4-13 to 2-8. The Rock B team: Conchúr O’Reagáin; Oisín Mac Coitir, Fionn Mac Coitir, Brian Kavanagh; Jamie Ó Cathasaigh, David Hobbert, David Mullins; Denis Brassil, Jack Shanahan; Joe de Barra, Nathan O’Connor, Kyle Yoxall; Dean Courtney, Ewan Canty, Darragh Lyons; Nathan O’Connor, Barry Laide, Seán McCannon, Jay Sweeney.
(c) Training continues this week; watch out for messages with details. Keep up the efforts, boys….a good future lies ahead for the Austin Stack Club U15s! (Ger Hobbert)
