AGM: Our club AGM (juvenile section) will take place in the clubhouse on Wednesday January 10th at 7pm.

FAOI 10: (i) We concluded our season at the end of October with our annual in-house tournaments. These are the end-of-year games that are held in honour of three great custodians of the club: Bracker O’Regan, Paddy Drummond and Jimmy Barry. After some closely fought action Dean Ferriter/Darragh Counihan, Ruane Lawlor and Ciarán Murphy took home the respective trophies.

Wonderful football was played and great excitement and celebration ensued! Thanks to all the coaches, the parents and especially the players who made it such a great year. ‘See you all in the New Year, boys!

(ii) The 16 teams that took part in the 7th annual John Lynch Tournament: Na Stacaigh, Na Mistéalaigh, Ballymac, Na Gaeil, Churchill, Legion, Castleisland Desmonds, Milltown, Listowel Emmets, Kilmacud Crokes, St Jude Club, An Nás, Bearna, Douglas, Glanmire, Club Naomh Fionnbarra. The support of Cara Credit Union is greatly appreciated by The Rock Club.

CNOC an tSEABHAIC: (i) The Mounthawk senior team was scheduled to play Coláiste Chríost on Wednesday (8th) in the Corn Uí Mhuirí competition. (ii) Go n-éirí le buachaillí Chnoc a’ tSeabhaic v Coláiste Bréanainn in the final of the Corn Uí Shúilleabháin (Kerry Colleges) senior football competition. The 8 Rockmen on the team: Michael Tansley, Pádraig Ó hAllmharáin, Jack Ó Murchú, Ben Ó Murchú, Daniel Ó Ciarba, James Fisher, Paidí Ó Laighin, Noah Townsend. (P.Ó hAllmharáin)

THE GREEN: (i) The Green seniors (U19) were scheduled to take on Skibbereen on Wednesday (8th) in the Corn Uí Mhuirí competition. The 5 Rockmen on the team: Ronan Carroll, Ryan O’Driscoll, Fionnán Ryan, Thomas Derege, Donnacha Horgan. (ii) Good luck to the U17 Green team in their quest for the Dunloe Cup (Kerry). The 5 Rockmen on the panel: Oliver Lata, Ronan Carroll, Ryan O’Driscoll, Fionnán Ryan, Aodhán Horgan. (iii) The Green U15s played in Fitzgerald Stadium against Coláiste Bréanainn on Wednesday (12.30pm) in the final of the Bro. Taft Cup competition. The Rock boys on the panel: Eoin Mangan, Danny Lane, Jack Delaney. (T.Mac Mathúna)

SCÓR na bPÁISTÍ: Now is the time to encourage primary school pupils to take part in Scór na bPáistí. All district finals must be completed by February 25th. The county final of Primary School Scór (Scór na bPáistí) will take place on March 23rd 2024. The competition will end at county level.

SCÓR na nÓG: Coiste Scór Chiarraí plans to organise and run a ‘county only’ Under 17 competition in December ‘23 or January ‘24 but only if clubs express interest. Clubs are requested to let the county secretary know their intentions by Sunday next (12th November). Let’s encourage our U17 members to have a go! E-mails to secretary.scor.kerry@gaa.ie. County winners will progress to Munster and All-Ireland level. The next Scór na nÓg (faoi 17) competition will be in Autumn 2024.

SCÓR na SINSEAR: Senior Scór ‘24 will take place after Christmas. The county final is expected to be held in late January or early February. Clubs requiring assistance or advice are encouraged to contact Coiste Scór Chiarraí…..secretary.scor.kerry@gaa.ie.
