Let’s ensure that hurling, football and handball are promoted and played in a positive, fair and enjoyable manner and that players, coaches, mentors, officials, parents, spectators and supporters have respect for for each other on and off the pitch. Let’s ensure that this culture of meas-ar-chách is promoted in all Rock Club activities…meas ar chách ó ghin go bás! Meas! Respect! Ómós! Honour!

SPORTS’ NEWS: The order of sport’s news on our televisions on Saturday night last: 1. provincial rugby; 2. club soccer in GB; 3. women’s international hockey; 4. golf (R.McIlroy); 5. hurling All-Irelands; 6. billiards; 7. international cycling (ladies); 8. mention of winners (Dublin, Derry, The Rossies) in senior football leagues. Question for GAA people/clubs: why are hurling All-Ireland finals rated 5th and senior Gaelic football league games rated 8th in our national tv sports’ bulletin? Níl ann ach ceist shimplí?
