KERRY attractions received awards at the CIE Tours Awards of Excellence which took place in Dublin earlier this week.

CIE Tours, the largest carrier of US visitors to Ireland every year presented its annual awards to the hoteliers and tourism experiences which achieved approval ratings of over 92% from the 25,000 tourists who travelled to Ireland with the company in 2023.

The renowned Ballygarry Estate Hotel and Spa was the recipient of the CIE Tours Excellence Award for ‘best 4-star hotel’.

Additionally, four Kerry hotels were recognized and received merits in the hotel category. The Brehon, Great Southern Killarney, Killarney Plaza Hotel and Killarney Avenue Hotel were rated highly by CIE Tours guests.

Five well-known visitor attractions were also honoured for their high level of visitor experience. Tangney Tours Jaunting Car, Killarney Horse & Carriage Tours, Tom Creans South Pole Inn, The Blasket Centre, Dun Chaoin and John B Keanes Pub remain firm favourites with visitor, offering a unique and enjoyable experience.

The Awards recognise Ireland’s hospitality ambassadors, the people and businesses throughout the country who put Irish tourism on the global stage through the warmth of welcome and quality of service provided to our international visitors.

The CIE Tours Awards of Excellence were presented by Stephen Cotter, Interim CEO of CIE Tours.
