CAILINI FAOI 14 ANNUAL REVIEW

This group of girls had unbelievable success this year , we knew at the beginning of the year we had potential in this group but they surpassed all our expectations !

On 21st March we began our Co League Div 3 campaign in Ballymac against Spa Killarney and won by a point on a scoreline of 0-11 to 2-4 . Our 2nd game was also at home in Ballymac against Finuge St Senans which the girls even with some regulars missing came from behind to win 1-8 to 0-6 scoreline .

Further wins over Kilcummin , Firies ,Beale , Ballyduff , Moyvane and finally away to Currow on a 1-5 to 1-4 scoreline saw us top the division to ensure a home semi final against Spa Killarney again .

It took till Aug 20th before this was played , 2 challenge games v John Mitchels were great preparation for this semi final and our girls played very well on the night to qualify for the final on a scoreline of 4-6 to 3-4 .

The final was played on 6th September in Knocknagoshel and the girls game a complete performance from no 1 to no 20 on the night to win 4-10 to 1-6 .

Paddy White chairperson of KLGFA was on hand to present the shield to captain Niamh Rahilly to the delight of team and the large Ballymac attendance .

Following the Co League win we’ve had a couple of weeks off prior to the beginning of the North Kerry . Having played and defeated  Ballyduff and Na Gaeil at home in the first  2 games , we’d 2 games in a week to finish off our year . Both games produced wonderful high scoring games in which we came out the right side of to cap off a fabulous year for this group of girls .

We completed the double as the girls annexed the North Kerry League Div 2 title  Sunday 4th we travelled to Listowel to play the locals in round 4 .

Ballymac 2-18   Listowel 4-7

Thursday 8th Oct we made the short trip to neighbours John Mitchels
Ballymac 5-9    John Mitchels 3-9

These are a special bunch of young ladies, a pleasure to coach & committed to the club . They’re fantastic ambassadors for the club too, each game they turn out impeccably with matching shorts and socks and their conduct on the field is first class too . What they achieved this year is well deserved and they definitely reflect the saying ‘ the more I work and practice , the luckier I get  ”

Well done again girls and thanks to parents and supporters  for encouragement and support during the year 2015 .
