BLM Kerry To Hold Solidarity Protest This Saturday

BLM Kerry will hold a protest this Saturday from 2pm to 3pm in The Square in Tralee.

BLM Kerry says it is spreading the message that racism and inequality of all sorts is still present.

Two representatives from YARI (Youth Against Racism & Inequality) will speak at the event and following the protest they will host a discussion in the Town Park at 3.15pm. The protest will also consist of chants and a minute’s silence to remember those lost to hate crimes.

BLM Kerry would like to remind attendees that group sizes are limited to six people per social bubble.Masks/face coverings and social distancing are mandatory at the event.

BLM Kerry was created on June 3, 2020, by a small group of young people who wanted to raise awareness of the racism and inequality in Ireland and globally.

They have also created campaigns about Image Based Sexual Abuse, the #FreePalestine movemen, Increasing Trans Visibility, The Yemen Crisis, the Xinjiang
internment camps and other global and local issues.
