THE Bon Secours Hospital Tralee (BSHT) is to be the new health partner to Kerry LGFA (KLGFA) following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

This follows on from a similar partnership arrangement that the BSHT has in place with Kerry GAA and will facilitate the elite lady footballers having access to the latest diagnostic technologies available in BSHT.

The document was signed on behalf of BSHT by Mr TJ O’Connor CEO and on behalf of the KLGFA by Kerry LGFA Chairperson, Ms Selina Looney.

Ms Selina Looney, Chairperson of Kerry LGFA is delighted with this new agreement saying; “it is really important that our elite lady footballers have the same access to any and all supportive technologies that are available which our elite men have access to and in this regard, we are delighted to secure this agreement with BSHT.

“Our elite lady footballers put in an extraordinary level of effort to try and ensure that they can maximise their potential and deliver results for our county and our people and it is only right that we should offer them any and all supports available to achieve these goals. We are looking forward to working with our partners in BSHT over the coming weeks, months and years with our shared aim of supporting our elite lady footballers in every way possible”.

Mr TJ O’Connor, CEO of BSHT welcomed the agreement and said “we in BSHT are delighted to be partnering with the LGFA to support our elite lady footballers. We are extremely proud of our ladies team and we are delighted to be associated with them in this way. We look forward to sharing our diagnostic facilities with our elite LGFA athletes over the coming weeks months and years for the benefit of our LGFA teams in Kerry”.
